The problem with Starship Earth is that seasonal help stinks. But, if you think about it, what quality help can you possibly find when you can only hire them for maybe 2 months out of the year.
My guess is that most qualified retail customer service specialists are probably working for Dillards or Target.
I can relate, because I own a summer seasonal business, and the hiring pool is very very shallow.
Once you get beyond the fact that you have to have sub par assistance in the shop, the place is a wonderland of possibilities.
This is your costuming experience, so go into the shop with ideas on what you want to do. Make a list of things you will need to complete the look.
If you go in expecting someone else to design you a look, then forget it.
Get out of the mentality that shop help is there to wait on you hand and foot as if you are royalty. (do not limit this concept to just this shop)
Be creative on your own.
