I went there on a whim--heard about it from 90.9FM and LOVED IT!!! Great food, better than I would've ever made myself. Great atmosphere too--warm and almost sensual. Its a very intimate place, very pleasant smell of dinner cooking. Great people there, too. Very friendly and informative. If you're unsure what you're ordering, they can explain any or every detail you want! I have already recommended it to all my friends and will be going back as soon as I can!

One of my favorite places to go for lunch. Good food and good service. Especially nice if you're looking for something unique. I can't think of any place in Cincy that quite like it.

I Like Thai cuisine, this is the type of food which is really helped by the freshness of ingredients and making the food when it's ordered. Andy's has a nice patio and you can smoke a hookah, if that's your thing, but the service and food are middle of the road.

I have been going to Andy's off and on since 2001. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and have liked watching the place evolve. Andy and his brother are very nice and once you get to know them it is like you are part of the family. I have been to the Med and the food is as authentic as it gets. Try the Friday night lamb roast.....a whole skewered lamb cooked on the patio. If you ever have something you don't like just speak up and they will make it right or make you something else. I have never had an issue..... even when I ordered the wrong thing and didn't like it. As for the name.....which apparently some people have an issue with I can think of dozens of "Americanized" names for Mediterranean restaurants (and other types) across the country.......why is that an issue?

I went a few times in high school and my Dad and Step Mom had their rehearsal dinner there - my step mother's family knows Andy. I definitely love their hummus and pita; so good! I am not a Mediterranean connoisseur, but I definitely genuinely have enjoyed their food over the years (and im not just saying that because my family knows the owners!). The back patio is great and I love how seating is multi-leveled. Know your countries? I believe they still have a daily board by the bar and if you can guess the three countries correctly you get a free appetizer or meal special. Trust me, it is hard! Don't miss the belly dancers, either!

I really liked this place. It might be the pretty waitresses, it could be the oasis of relaxed rustic decor in this area or it could be may amazing shish tawook (as described as "Winner of the Best Entre Award - Taste of Cincinnati") which was juicy and tender and marinated in a lemony herb baste. The only thing I would add would be yogurt sauce to give the chicken a contrasting bite. Eva was efficient and attentive on a Sat night so I disagree about the earlier review about poor service. We sat upstairs and weren't left alone for long, including company from the bellydancer ;) Come here if you like Mediterranean style food. I've never been to Cincinnati before but with the help of Yelp I felt like a local and also considered Bistro Jean Ro and Pomilio's for dinner on Sat night.

Anything that's grilled is really grilled; lots of charred spots, especially on the excellent various shish kebobs (I suggest the Kharouf, which is lamb). There are the staples: hummus, falafel, baklava, and rice with everything. They have a nice stable of beers and wines, including a house wine from Lebanon (the real one, not the one north of the city). Prices are certainly higher than most other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area, but the quality and presentation show why Andy's is a step above the rest. They've become so popular that you can now buy Andy's marinade and dressing bottled. Sadly, the real reason for going has passed on thanks to Smoke Free Ohio. You'll have to find your hookah elsewhere. (And please tell me where that is.)

I love Andy's falafel and they have great kebabs. On my last visit I had a wrap during lunch and didn't care for it but overall I have typically have a great meal. Frankly we don't have many Lebanese restaurants in Cincinnati, if there is a better one in town I would love to hear about it.

This is not a Greek restaurant. This is Lebanese. And, let me tell you, Lebanese food is goooooood! Try the labneh with the homemade pita bread! The service was excellent. We had the most FABULOUS time taking our post-dinner birthday celebration to the bar where we were serenaded by the one and only Andy as we sipped delicious martinis and smoked apple hookahs.

When we first moved to Cincinnati a couple of years back, we immediately noticed that there weren't too many Middle Eastern/Med options around. It's too bad, because the cuisine, even when prepared properly with fresh ingredients, can be inexpensive, healthier than most, and delicious. The lighter fare and cool, bright flavors are especially welcome during warmer months. Andy's seems to get the most attention among the meager collection of Middle Eastern/Med places in the Cincinnati area. The focus of a restaurant like this is grilled meat:chicken and lamb, especially. And Andy's prepares these things competently. Although Andy's much-renowned shish tawook (chicken kabob) is really tasty. Salads at Med places can be fantastic. Andy's does have some very good hummus and felafel. Andy's 8-dollar lunch special--you get to choose three items from a short list--is a great deal. The vibe and atmosphere at Andy's feels pretty hip by Cincinnati standards. The rather odd decor in the main dining area--sort of Middle-Eastern-mural-meets-ski-lodge--is charming, and the rooms are pleasantly lit. (The restaurant is actually chopped up into two or three different areas, including a bar dining area, and up a flight of stairs, a dark rustic area.) Music volume is kept pleasantly low. Although the non-Middle Eastern waitstaff is friendly enough. But the bottom line is that Andy's is a casual restaurant.

When you go to a restaurant, how much does the environment matter? For most, it makes a big difference so before I talk about the food at Andy's, I have to talk about the ambiance. This is a place that is constantly improving their space. Every season it seems like Andy has a new addition or renovated dining area to accommodate more people and make their experience better. The place is family run and if you stop in more than a couple times, there is a good chance you will actually get to know the owner Andy in the process. I have had several conversations with him and find him to be an "old school" restaurant owner that will actually sit down with you and recommend a new dish or help keep the hookah going. The food is exceptional as well of course. With the highlight being the Shish Tawook. With so few good Mediterranean options in the area, this dish really stands out. Andy's signature sauce and always enjoyable chicken are hard to not order every time I'm here! But if you must wander a bit, the hummus, tabouli and Baba Ghannouj are all recommended as well. And the hookah, well, the Lebanese pipe takes any meal and turns it into a 3 hours social event if you are willing. I'm a big fan of the relaxed environment and menu here, a Cincinnati favorite for years and certainly for years to come.

Oh Andy's, how I used to love thee. When I lived in Clifton 6-7 years ago, I'd frequent Andy's no less than once a month. It was the first Mediterranean place I'd ever actually liked. The shish tawook was to die for. The tabouli and baklava were also consistently good.

Went with a group of friends. We sat in the front of the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other talk. We sat through most of the meal in silence, talking only when the musicians took a break. I don't care how good the food is, if I can't hear the person next to me then I won't go there!. Yelling and screaming over the music so your dinner companions can hear you is not my idea of a good time. Sorry

By far the best mediterranean in Cincinnati. It no longer is called "Andy's Delicatessen" because it has evolved into a really nice restaurant and bar. The owners, Andy and Majed are a riot and the servers are all friendly and helpful and have a great grasp of what's on the menu. I recommend this restaurant for a date, with an appetizer, a bottle of wine, and a shared entree. It's also a fun place to come on Friday or Saturday night when there is a DJ and belly dancer and a crowd at the bar. If you are a fan of the scented tobacco water pipe they are a great "dessert" for after the meal, especially if you're with a group out on the patio. This restaurant is my favorite for excellent middle eastern (Lebanese) food, a fun atmosphere, and great service. (And don't forget the baklawa.)

Andy's is great. The food is awesome, chicken and beef dishes as well as desserts. Good lebanese coffee. I don't drink coffee but I love this stuff. Andy is usually around and will check on you often. On weekends they sometimes have a belly dancer.
Nice inside but also has a patio that in a winter has a wood burning stove and is inclosed, in the summer it is open.

I love greek food and this is the place. The soulavi is the best in town- won awards in Best of CIncinnati. There humus is also very good. On Wednesday night they have belly dancers who will show us Girls how to do it. They were a lot of fun. Great place for a good time with either the boys or girls. Food is priced very well for what you get.
