Everyone who's been to Radio Shack in the last decade knows that it's pointless to go there anymore. They've gotten out of the market of catering to the electronics hobbyist and do-it-yourselfer and tried to peddle cell phones and more consumer electronics instead. The few pieces parts you can still get at Radio Shack will cost you. 1,000+% markups are not uncommon.
Philcap to the rescue. Philcap has ALWAYS had thousands of parts on hand and can order practically anything else you'd want. Connectors, components, cables, adaptors, you name it, they've got it. They charge a fair price, too. My only complaint is they're not open late enough! 9-5:30 M-F and 9-3 Saturdays. Everyone around Akron knows, Philcap is the ONLY place to go for your electronics needs!

Phil Cap is a good source for replacement parts for any electronic repair. Radios-stereos-CB's-alarm systems, etc. The staff is knowledgeble and helpful. They sell to the public and carry hard-to-find electronic components.
