I brought my Nikon D40 camera in to Cord Camera in North Olmsted, Ohio on February 7, 2008. There was a speck that was showing up in my pictures and the associate determined I needed the sensor cleaned. He wrote it up to send to their lab. I was told at that I should have my camera back in 2 weeks.

Bottom line is...I got it back over 10 weeks later.

I was told they had run a special on camera cleaning and they just got overloaded at the tech center that did the work. The only way I found this out, however, was by calling them....on Feb. 28, Mar. 6, Mar. 11, Apr. 2, Apr. 7 and Apr. 9.

I finally got it back on Apr. 21, 2008.

Marie really tried to help me once she got involved (Apr. 2) and finally got a handle on where it was and bugged them for me to get it back. It turns out they had to send it to Nikon for warranty work, BUT it took 6 WEEKS for the lab to get back to us with their first communication.

The very discouraging part was that...not one time...were they proactive in communicating the delayed service to me. I had to constantly contact them. I can be understanding when issues arise, and work with people to resolve them...however, this was handled very badly.

And the saddest thing of all was...they didn't even apologize for the delay.
