This is just a rough summary of what happened.--
I was very displeased with the service that I recieved. The customer service was absolutely a joke. I took in a coat and a wedding dress to be cleaned. As anyone would do I was pricing around for a best price to clean a wedding dress. So when I dropped off the dress I ask the young man working how much the dress would be, he said about $30- BC I told him I just wanted it cleaned not the whole wedding package that some places offer. So I thought that was great, so I left it there. He told me it would be done Thursday. So when I went to get it Thurs. He goes,"it's a bit more than I told you, its $125, not $30" -- I was not happy with that. I asked him why such a difference and he said bc there were a lot of stains. I was upset, I however did pay the outrageous difference, and left a note to have the person in charge give me a call. The next day I talked to Connie, She was absolutely one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. She told me that when I heard that price of $30 I should ve questioned it. And just kept making excuses, the boy was new, and young. I expressed that one, someone should ve called me when they realized I was told the incorrect price to make sure that I still wanted them to do it. And to top it all they couldn't even remove the stain ( which I understand that some stains won't come out). She told me she would talk to the owner and get back with me.
So then She calls me back and tells me that the owner is going to give me $30 back. so I am still paying $100 for a job I was told would be $30. I asked to talk to the owner- boy I thought Connie was rude, nothing compared to Cecile- She yelled at me, cussed at me, told me if I wanted she would give me all my money back and I could bring her the dress and she would throw it in the garbage or something. Also, tried to blame me for the issue of not having the correct price and not questioning it bc no cleaner would do it for that. and when I expressed that The customer service I was receiving was unacceptable, she told me "Im in the drycleaning business, not customer service." asked me if I was in customer service, when I responded with yes, she said, how about you stick to your job and I will stick to mine. -I was like ma'am you do a service for customers, customer service-- It was like arguing with a brick wall. And just the rudest, most unprofessional group I have ever dealt with. I will not go back, ever. I have never been talked to in this manner by a business owner/manager ever. They do not know how to deal with customers properly, I tried to give Cecile (owner) an example, If she went to a roofing company - she interrupted me here and said, "I'm not a roofer"-- I proceeded and said I realize that, if you had a roof leak and you needed it fixed and you were going around and getting estimates, and one company told you it would be about $100 and then came back to you and said oh sorry it's $400, you would be appauld by this, she said yeah I probably would be.. but what if you go get your car worked on, and then they find other things wrong with it then it cost more--- I go right, but they call you first to make sure that you still want them to do it, and You told me that you dont charge by the number of stains, its just by the garmet, so that doesn't make since with what we have here. and she pretty much told me I could go back and forth with her for 3 hrs and she wouldnt do anything else. It was literally like talking to a child, jsut completely unreal! Heed the warning, worst business I have ever dealt with!

I took my daughters jeans to Howell's Dry Cleaners on 1024 Main Street, Hamilton Ohio 45013 to be hemmed before she started school. I was told that it would take 2 to 3 days to get them back, then they said it would be a week. I called after week, not hearing from them, and I was told that they were not in yet and they would call me when they were in. After two weeks they called me and told me that they were in. When I got home and gave the hemmed jeans a good look over, I discovered that they used the wrong color thread and the stitching looked as if it was done by a child or a retarded monkey with a blind fold. I was very unhappy and was going to complain and have it redone properly but my daughter is afraid that she won't have her jeans back before school starts so we are stuck with the crappy job that was performed at $12.50 a pair x3. I will never revisit this cleaners again and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you save yourself the HEADACHE and the MONEY and STAY AWAY from Howell's Dry Cleaners.
