Reviews for Lube Stop

Ratings_icons Managers have to sell

jon s.

I have noticed with the cons that people say that the store are pushy. I thought I would let you know the managers are forced to make sales. If not they have to work an extra day with no pay and are alway threatened with their jobs.

I waited for almost one hour for a simple oil change at the Lube Stop location on Broak park close to Ridge rd. Jeff was apologetic however it was still and hour an 20 minutes from the time I pulled in till the time I pulled out and that is way too long for an oil change. It was way more expensive than the local auto garages in the area. If you are going to charge that much, I expect to be in and out. There were only 3 men working. That is totally understaffed. I wont return. Its just not worth it. Too many other places to go for an oil change for a lot less and in a shorter amount of time. The manager should have warned me.

I stopped for an oil change and like the others there was a relentless sales pitch. More important though, I was told that my windshield washer fluid was topped off and it was in fact left empty, so what else was I lied to about? I was asked over and over about a radiator flush. I declined. Two weeks later my car overheated and had no fluid. I had radiator replaced. I am suspicuois about the circumstances. Last, they sell the air filters for $19 and they can be bought at a parts store for $8. Bad Business. A liar is a liar no matter how you cut it!

I agree with the last reviewer. When I took my car to a Lube Stop, the technicians also tried to push other parts on me. I felt pressured and uncomfortable. However, they are quite pricey.

PROS: no appointment needed
CONS: pushy and pricey

Ratings_icons Quick service, friendly staff, but a little over the top with the extras

I received an oil change, was showed all the parts they replaced, but felt overwhelmed by all the extra things they tried to sell me. I understand they need to do it, but no thank you means stop.

PROS: Quick service, not overpriced
CONS: To pushy with the extras.
