Coffee Cup Restaurant

We went to Nelson ville to take a ghost train ride at 8:00. We went early and was going to have dinner first. WE went to the Coffee Cup Restaurant. Got seated at 6:45, Order taken 7:00, Drinks 7:15 . Our order was ribs, shrimp and pasta. By 7:45 food still not there. We had to leave but they insisted we pay for our order ( over $70.00 ) if we took it or not. Personal experience, BAD !!!Good deal, No wayI would not recommend them.If you go to nelson ville for the train ride and you want to make the train go to Sonic!

I unfortunately did not have the same experience as some of these other people. First we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Then it took them 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then it took 40 minutes after we ordered our food to finally get it. We were not offered any refills on drinks. We asked for a take out box and 20 minutes later I had to go hunt someone down to get the box. There were flies everywhere. My girlfriend had a bug in her coffee. The list goes on. I tried it and would not go back.

If you are ever traveling through Nelsonville, Ohio, The Coffee Cup restaurant is a must stop. I have eaten there hundreds of times, it is one of my all time favorites. The staff is great, owners are excellent, food is amazing. Such a huge variety, I have trouble deciding what to order. They also have a great veggie menu. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner out, a casual lunch, a place to take your family, or just a place to relax and have a beer, it is always a great place to go.

We recently visited Nelsonville and had previously eaten at the Coffee Cup several years ago. I was delighted that it was still there. The people were friendly and the food was good. I like the quaintness of the restaurant also.

When we were visiting family in Nelsonville, I hardly expected to find somewhere I could eat, since I am vegan. I was delighted to find out that The Coffee Cup has a vegetarian section to their menu and that some of the options are marked as vegan. When I ordered my food, I had a question about the bun my sandwhich came on and what the french friesh were cooked in. The server was extremely friendly, and did not seem to mind going to check on my questions. She seemd truly concerned with finding answers for me. In addition, the server was friendly to my toddler, and tried to make sure she did what she could to keep her happy as well.

This out of the way restraunt is a must stop when traveling thru historic nelsonville.They make you feel welcome as soon as you walk thru the door.Prices are great and food is even better.

This place is always busy. They have a really good breakfast! Hard to find these days! Quite a variety on the menu. Lots to choose from. Lunch and dinner good also!
