Run, don't walk from Levin. I bought a leatherette sofa with dual recliner and a matching recliner. Within two years, the leatherette on the sofa started wearing away on both the arm and back. I called both the salesman and the service center and both said that the warranty was only one year and nothing could be done. The quality of this furniture is terrible; the recliner on the chair doesn't work properly and the couch is wearing away. This was the worst furntiture I have every bought and I am 63 years old!

I will never purchase from Levin's again. Purchased a drop-leaf table and chairs (along with a couple living room pieces) in Sept. of 2010. After the delivery guys left I realized that the drop-leaves did not fully extend, and the hinges were loose. This caused the drop leaves to not be level with the center part of the table and if you put something on those sides, it would slide right off. I called and they came out TWICE to fix the table, but the issue was still not resolved. On Nov. 11, 2010, the "technician" said he would have to order new hinges for the drop-leaves. IT TOOK 4 MONTHS BEFORE THE PARTS ARRIVED!!! They kept explaining that they were coming from overseas (China). COLUMBUS could have gotten the parts here sooner! Mind you, these are not large pieces -- Fed-X, UPS or even the Postal Service could have handled them. Anyway . . . finally on March 24, the "technician" arrives to fix the table. However when he opened the package, the WRONG HINGES had been ordered. I've taken off work 4 TIMES to accommodate these IRRESPONSIBLE, INEPT, INCOMPETENT, BUNGLING, BOZOS. I'll probably have to wait another 4 months, or more, before I can get my table fixed. Frankly, I may just pitch it and buy a better table from Wayside Furniture in Akron.

My wife and I shopped at Levin (Middleburgh Hts, Ohio) last Dec.(09) and picked a sofa and glider chair both made by England (Lane) so we were told. One of the reasons we picked this brand is due to a back problem that I have and the furniture was nice and firm and easy for me to sit down on and get up off of. We were told by the salesman (Ron) that what we chose was quality furniture, that the cushions would last a long time (not lose firmness) and we would be worry free for some time. In May 2010 we had to have a service call fore the couch and learned that the frame had split and a new couch was ordered. The service tech (Chris) when he showed up to the house came in with his shoes on and tracked horse manure thru my kitchen, dining room and living room. When I brought this to his attention he said it was dirt. I called and complained and Levin had my carpet cleaned. In Oct. we phoned in another service request for the cushions as they had all flattened out. (we were told this would not happen) Again Chris came out, looked at the cushions and said yep their flat and put in an order for new cushions. It was at this time that my wife and I began to realize that this furniture was no better than a value city product and began making calls to return the furniture for something else. On most occasions we dealt with Chuck who would never return calls or would call a different number when told to call a specific one. ( we were out of town and told Chuck to call back our cell phone number which he never did, instead, he called the home number and later told us that that was the only number he had) It seems Chuck may be in the wrong psition. In November we called again, again for a split frame on the couch. Again Chris came out, took pictures and said he would report back to Chuck (his supervisor) Now, in Dec, I called again this time because the glider has stopped gliding and when you sit on the left side you sink so low it is hard to get up ( not good for someone with back problems) The glider also deposits a greasy, metallic residue onto the carpeting (near the glide mechanism). This was also brought to the attention of Chris and he basically said there is nothing that can be done and I should buy some coasters from home depot. I again spoke with Chuck and told him that I am fed up and want to return the furniture for credit for something else. Chuck said that he would be happy to keep repairing what we have and that the manufacturer will not take the funiture back (I wonder why). And when I insisted he said that he can take the funiture back but he will have to charge us a 20% restocking fee. I argued with him telling him that the furniture is junk and there is no way they can restock it (put it back on the floor) and sell it and he said that they would fix it and restock it as used/damaged. I asked him if there was someone above him who I could talk to and he said there was not so I asked for Mr. Levin's number and he gave me a number to call. When I called the number I spoke with a nice girl named Ashley who seemed to have a genuine concern about my problem. After learning that Chuck did indeed have a supervisor I was given her number at which time I called and left a message. To my surprise A short time later I received a call form Paula who was very professional and and who was also very concerned. To my delight she guaranteed me that she would resolve our problem and we would be able to switch out our furniture however we would have to pay the delivery fee. (I don't think we should have to be responsible for the fee after all we have been thru but after finally speaking with someone who took a genuine interest in our problem rather that talking with someone who acted as if they could care less, I agreed, however, I do hope they waive it). In closing: I found the front line people at Levin to be rude, irresponsible, apathetic and generally unprofessional. It's unfortunate that hard working customers who choose to spend their hard earned money at Levins have to be put thru so much grief. Mr Levin should maybe do a stint on Undercover Boss.

I had been saving for a new bedroom suite for sometime and was really excited to finally purchase my new room. I went to the new Wexford Levin store and it was very beautiful and I was very impressed by the selection and the very helpful and knowledgeable sales/designer. The prices were excellent, everything was available immediately and I even had a price guarantee after it was delivered, for a month!! The Levin Protection Plan gave me peace of mind and I get the money back (gift certificate)if I never have a claim! I highly recommend the Wexford Levin's!!!!

My experience with Levin Furniture has been great. They make you feel comfortable while you shop. My sales person was Jim and he showed me a large selection of living room furniture and answered all of my questions. Levin offers different finance options that helped me make the right purchase for me. I would defiantly recommend Levin to everyone.

11/16/2010 I will never purchase furniture from Levin again. I wrote a review on another site so I will not go into everything. I purchased a sofa and recliner in January. The wood on the back of the chair cracked when I pushed on it to plug in the recliner. They fixed it and I explained my concern about the quality to the tech. Now the middle cushion on the couch in so low on one side you cannot sit on it. The tech. told me the felt ripped that holds up the seat and he would fix it with cords, he has made this repair on other sofas. I can feel the springs in one seat on the sofa and the recliner. The tech said that is normal wear and tear and furniture only lasts 2-3 years. He guaranteed me they would do nothing about it. I finally today got a call back from Chuck the service manager. I found him to be rude and very smug. He said I bought the wrong furniture that there isn't a lot of cushioning in the couch I bought. I specifically purchased furniture that was very firm to avoid this problem and was never told that after 8-10 months I would be able to feel the springs. He then said to me that is the nature of the beast. What? Then he said he cannot put a Chevy wheel on a Ford pickup truck. I then asked for his supervisors name. Every time I see Robert Levin on his commercials I have to laugh. The quality of their furniture is terrible. I purchased a couch 10 years ago from Levin and it is still comfortable.. You can research different reviews on other websites and it's a lot of the same complaints. I will purse this and complain to the BBB and anyone else I can. I also learned that this Corinthian furniture I bought was made in China. I told Chuck I would expect this from Value City or Daniels but not Levin. I am not knocking Value City or Daniels but their prices are a lot cheaper but it seems it's the same quality as Levin.

My husband and I purchased a bedroom set for Levin Furtinure in Cleveland Ohio. It has been a horrible experience and has not yet been resolved. When the dresser, chest, tv-stand and night stand arrived they almost fell off the truck when the driver opened the door-- they were not secured inside the truck. The delivery truck had a leak and the furniture got wet. We were able to keep the tv-stand, night stand and chest due to not allot of water getting on these items. The dresser had to be sent back. Keep in mind these were all new items from the warehouse. We had to return to the store on one of our rare Saturday's off to take a look at the dispaly furniture because there was no more at the warehouse. We took the diplay furniture which was delivered. When the delivery men brought the furniture to our home he tried to attach the mirror to the dresser and scratched the dresser severly. We had to send the dresser back to be repaired. We were told this would take a week. My husband set at home a week later waiting for the dresser to be delivered. They did not come. He called Levin to see what the hold-up was and he was told they tried to call him to tell him that they were not coming because the dresser had not been repaired. My husband called the store and once again the store manger (Mark) apologized. We have been customers of Levin for many years but the buck stops here!!!!!! We will never purchase another piece of furniture from Levin. We will discourage any and everyone we know from buying furniture from Levin. The service we have received is unacceptable! Also, I will be forwarding a letter of complain the owner of Levin Furniture!

My sales person was Annie Dingman. She was the best sales person for furniture that I have met. She helped me pick out a set and let me tell you that was no small feat it took us at least 2hours. Then I had to change my mind the next day because I did not measure properly so I had to find something eles and exchange my selection. Annie took the time to measure everything for me and to find out what I liked and what I needed for my room size, not just what she wanted to sell me. Belive me she was very patient with me. I was very nervous about this whole process but she made it more tolerable. She went above what a sales person in the furniture industry usually does. She listend. The furniture came on time and it looks great! Levin has good quality furniture at a fair price. It is just a little bit more than value city and not as high as wayside furniture. I feel I got a good deal overall. I am so glad that Levin lets there sales people do what is right for the customer instead of just trying to get them to buy the most expensive item or what they want to get out. Thank you Annie and Levin.

We're simply grateful our town still has a great furniture store. We bought our daughter a new bedroom, the dresser was cracked, and was replaced three days later. Things go wrong, but good retailers fix them when they do. I would shop at Levin's again and again.

I really liked their selection of couchs and beds. I got exactly what I was looking for and a great discount! The delivery guys just finished setting everthing up and it looks great. I would definitely recommend buying your furniture from Levin Furniture.

I recently moved into my first apartment and furnished every room by Levin Furniture.The salesman was great and the delivery guys were AWESOME! I will be a Levin customer FOREVER!

I am very unhappy with the customer service at Levins Mentor, specifically manager Greg. I have made several purchases over the years without incident, but now that I have a problem with furniture, the customer service was terrible. I paid over $600 cash for a vanity that was obviously previously purchased and returned, then sold to me. To save money, I had a friend with a truck pick up the vanity, who drove 20 miles each way, out of his way, to do me a favor. When I opened the box, it as not only damaged, retaped and the box inside was also damaged and retaped, the hardware (bolts and screws) were free floating all inside the box. When I talked to the manager all he said was sorry and we will pick up the damaged furniture and send out replacement. Big Deal! of course that's what should happen!!!!!!!!! at the very least!!!!!!!! what about alittle compensation for my time and effort -- not to mention long history of purchases over the years, and referrals to others. Not ever again!! I want a refund immediatley! and I will find the vanity somewhere else!! Also -- they kept talking about 50% off --BS!!! I've been watching this piece of furniture or months, it was never the 'retail asking' price -- NEVER!! 50% off BS!!

I recentley visited the Middleburgh Hts. Levin Furniture store and was impressed with the selecetion of current trend sofa's and dinette sets. The service was good and not over the top pushy as it was in another furniture store I visited earlier that day in North Olmsted.

My wife and I bought a three piece living room set last January for about $3000.00 @ their so called half price sale & paid cash. We need service work on the furniture. I was told the repair had to be done in their repair shop. They picked-up the love seat, a week later returned it. The only thing that was done was a piece of plastic was put over it. I called Chuck (the manager) and told him. All he said was "I will give you a gift for your trouble) which we never got. He also told told me he would order the parts his self, which never happened. I called back and was told by someone else the repair can be done in the home. July 14, 2009 the service guy came and said the work has to be done in the shop & he took a picture for the furniture. He doesn't know why they sent him to do the work.Today is July 27, & haven't heard from Levin! I guess I will have to call them AGAIN!!!

I put a leather Lane sofa in Levin Furniture's Lay-away plan, I put $500.00 on my purchase (OVER HALF OF WHAT THE SOFA COST ON SALE) and told them I would pay the rest in a month's time.
The salesman stated to me I would have "3" months to pay for my leather sofa while writing out the sales contract!
When I purchased the sofa the salesman told me there where "60" new leather sofa's in stock!
When I came to Levin in a "month" to pay for the sofa they where now on Clearance, and I was told there where no longer any brand new leather sofa's in-stock and that I would have to take the floor model home and take it out of the store the "same day" I purchased the sofa.
In my contract I had signed when I purchased the sofa, I clearly stated I wanted "home delivery!"
I was told it didn't matter. I would have to take the sofa home that day.
I own a 4-door small sedan! "GOOD LUCK to me!'
I told them I did not purchase the "floor model", and I wanted my money returned to me, I was told they would send my my refund in the mail in 7-10 business days, well they sure cleared my $500 check in 2 business days.
I never received a phone message from the salesman, he claims he tried to call me the day before I came in to pay my final lay-away payment!
I have NO messages on my answering machine.I work 5 days a week!
So, if you want to use Levin's "lay-away" plan beware, YOU WON'T GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR, AND YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE TO CARRY IT HOME ON YOUR BACK!

Some folks don't care for Levin but we're not them. Levin has a very wide selection of quality furniture and wonderful prices and sales. We've purchased many things from them and just recently a new living room suite. We're delighted with the merchandise and their customer service. Their warranty work is fabulous as well. I'd highly recommend them.
