I've been a member at Court Yard for 10 years now. The club is smaller than some of the other area clubs but that makes it feel like a home away from home. Everyone knows each other and is always welcoming. The instruction is very good and the leagues and Interclub is well organized. I've made some of my best friends at Court Yard! This is one of my favorite places to be.

It's hard to imagine a worse club than Courtyard. The management is unfriendly and unhelpful (sometimes hostile) to its members, rarely responding positively to complaints and often making decisions that are irksome. It loses a few dozen members every year to Queen City, Five Seasons, or Harper's which are all far more accommodating and pleasant to their members.

The place is also very poorly maintained --- the roof leaks rain onto the courts, the broken fans take months to get fixed, the air conditioner has never been repaired, the peeling paint chips fall on your head during play, the courts are never resurfaced, the nets are tattered, the decor is outdated, the surfaces reek of mold, and the air quality is putrid.

Courtyard's only positive attribute is its proximity for players living in West Chester, but after a few seasons of being treated like dirt, many figure the extra 10 minute drive is well worth it. A better management team could certainly turn this dump around and easily rebuild the membership,

I've been a member of Court Yard for 11 years. It is one of my favorite places to be. The ladies tennis leagues are so much fun. It's a great way to meet new friends and get exercise all at the same time. I've taken advantage of the racquetball courts, fitness classes and the workout facilities as well. I've enjoyed it all. Court Yard has a wonderful family feel to it and a very friendly staff. I'm glad to be a part of it.

The Court Yard Sports plex is a great place for playing sports for recreation or for serious competition. Sports programs include tennis, racquetball, basketball, swimming and martial arts. There is even ballet. It is a great place if you have children. They accept kids as young as 4 years old. The program includes leagues, lessons and clinics. The coaches are very skilled and give individual attention. If you are enrolled in the tennis program, you can walk in at any time and get access to the ball machine tp practice. The hall can also be rented for birthday parties.

It is fun to have courtyard as part of my life as it allows me to be physically active with tennis, racquetball or all the different classes that are offered and be around a good group of people. I have made some of my best friends through the club.

Pros: Tennis and the other classes that are abundantly available

Cons: Not enough indoor courts.
