Was a Patient for over 10 years. Doctors aren't too bad, but the office staff is horrible. They are rude, ignorant and condescending. Everyone I know who went there had a horror story, and it was mostly because of the office staff. Thank God my insurance dropped them and I had to find another GP. The new one in Seville is Awesome. His office staff is great, they are always helpful and smiling.

Be careful which doctor you choose in this practice!!! While I am sure there are several who are competent, my ten year experience with this place is leading me elsewhere because I have no confidence left in the professional capabilities of the physician who has been our family doctor. This past year I was repeatedly diagnosed with Asthmatic Bronchitis, Asthma, Asthma again, Asthmatic Bronchitis.....turns out I have locally advanced lung cancer, and I never got one single xray during the entire year I returned for repeat visits for the same problems over and over until I came in coughing up blood.

A thorough doctor will look at your medical history, look at what is going on and, validate their diagnosis. My doctor did not, and simply threw medication my problem. I lost at least a year of time getting this diagnosed properly, and all this doctor could tell me after in an appointment after the fact and after 5 months of intense cancer treatment was that a chest xray was never warranted for my circumstance.

I feel so fortunate that I am going to a group of doctor's that belong to University Hospitals. Yes, they have a phone tree - doesn't everywhere? Yes, sometimes I wait for my doctor - not out of the ordinary either. Maybe the doctor is behind because of patients showing up late? Come on folks - get out of the "country" and realize we're big city now - or close to it and things change!!!! Accept the change or move on.....and if you move on - great! One less patient wasting my doctor's time!

I have been going to SFP for quite some time now. I have seen no difference now that they are part of university hospital. They still give personal attention to any needs or concerns of mine or my wife. I had no problems with their phone system or the service I receive. In particular, I feel that Dr. Hoynes is a very professional, competent, doctor who evaluates the medical problem and also listens to the personal side of the problem.

As for some of the negative comments, several phrases come to mind such as:

There are some two sides to every pancake.
Opinions are like noses, everyone has one.
Some people would gripe if you hung them with a new rope.

Went as a new patient today and was disappointed with my experience. I did NOT wait long to get checked in or taken back. In fact my whole experience lasted a total of 16 minutes! What has me disappointed and concerned is that as a NEW patient - the doctor never reviewed my new patient paperwork (which I hadn't even had an opportunity to complete) and thus missed out on several important pieces of my medical history. I was weighed (thank you very much I can do that at home) they know my height and blood pressure. She looked in my ears and my eyes. End of story. 16 minutes later I was able to come to the conclusion that this isn't the practice for me.

They gave my 14 month old the nasal spray for the h1n1 flu vaccination! Children under 2 cannot have the nasal spray. I took him in for the shot and the lady giving the shots told me that he HAD to have the nasal spray! The dr. called me to say they gave my baby the wrong vaccine! I had to monitor him for 48 hours to make sure he didnt stop breathing! He was up all night. He had a fever of 103, he was vomiting, he had chills, he was breathing heavy and his hearbeat was 160!!! I cried all night. I couldt take him to emergency unless he stopped breathing because his immune system was so low and hospital have so many germs! Im switching practices for this reason and many more! (ie: they never answer the phones, they make me wait in a waitng room with my two babies for up to an hour while there are sick kids waiting with us...etc)

My family and I have been going to Sharon Family for about 11 years now. We have never had any problems and everyone there is wonderful! I love the fact that I can call and get a same day appointment. I highly recommend.

I think that Barbara G. is "crazy"- seems like she has some personal issues. Sharon Family Physicians has a great group of physicians. The staff are always so very busy, but are helpful and friendly. The office is always open, at least way more than where I work. I know for a fact they only close daily from 12-1 for lunch, are open daily until 5 and almost always are in on Tues until 7pm, and always on Sat. I do not know too many Dr's office that are open that much. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for great Dr's and a great place.

I have no problems with any of the Doctors.
I have been a patient for 14 years. When I call to get an appointment, the person who answers the phone seems to know more about what's wrong with me than I do. She becomes very rude & inconsiderate. They all are very nasty when you have to ask a question.
The wait time in the waiting room is around 20 to 30 minutes & then the wait time in the exam room is another 20 to 30 minutes.
Sometimes they close the office at 4:00 even though it's suppose to be open until 7pm. And don't forget that they are closed for 1 1/2 hours for lunch. What's up with that???

I go to Sharon Family Physicians quit often and it is alway a good experience my doctor always has the time i need to talk with him and is very good at answering any question i might have,The waiting part to get in to see the doctor does get long at times but it is worth the wait to see a good doctor.

We moved to the Medina area in April 2005. Many recommendations sent us to Sharon Family Physicians. I go to one doctor there and my wife sees another. She has never complained about anything to me. As for myself, I usually don't wait very long at all for either the doctor or for when I go to get a blood test. When I call the office they are business-like but courteous.

I have been going to this particular office since I was 10/11 maybe a few years younger and I am now 23 I have a pretty well formed opinion of all the doctors. I don't know if since I noticed these things more since I have to go more often, used to go 2-3 times a year only when really sick but this office cannot handle the amount of patients they have. Here are my list of things to warn you about:

1. PHONES-I have called to different doctors offices and I agree that the majority of doctors' offices have a long wait to talk to someone but they top out at about an average 20-25 minutes. I often get hung up on or I love this one lunch is at 12 and the will stop taking phone calls at 11:30 and usually after lunch you can't get ahold of anyone for about an hour after. Staff can be a bit nasty and short with you if you ask any questions.

2. APPOINTMENTS-I have to show up on time for my appointments no matter what there are. Unfortunely this doctor's office doesn't seem to think that I should know when the doctor is running later than 20 minutes. One day I was there for my appointment at (arrived 15 minutes before) 10am...and about 11am still had not gotten in. I went up to the window and asked-I was just wondering how much longer it would be, if i need to reschedule I can and had my head bitten off. Then before my butt touched back in my seat a nurse came flying out calling my name they stuck me in a room for another 30 minutes and when I got up to walk out the doctor finely came in and never apologized. He rushed my appointment and was out in 2 minutes.

3.DIAGNOS-I had a very life threatening situation where I was getting sicker and sicker by the month this illness caused me to gain weight quickly. When I went into the doctors (all 3 that are there now at different times) they all accused me of being preganant after telling them I was saving myself and taking the test (negative) the still harrassed me about it. I decided to see another doctor at the emergency room when I went blind during a shopping spree with my mom (no not from the prices or my bill! haha). I was told if I had waited another 6 months I would of been dead. This left my body with some servere damage and the doctors there claim that I am making all this up. Funny that the doctor at the ER saw me for 2-3 hours and figured it out and I had been going to my normal phyisican weekly for 8 months straight and nothing.

Why am I still going there-I am not anymore but had to because I was on my parents insurance while attending school and had to have same doctor as them. Went today and waited 45 minutes and walked out-still no call to apologize for the wait. I am not someone who complains about everything. Have no other problems with any other people or doctors just this office. Save yourself the hassle.

for family health care. Their staff of doctors, physician's assistants and technicians and MA's are friendly and helpful. A growing practice but still takes lots of time for the patient. Our doctor always answers our questions, never rushes us and provides plenty of free samples of new medicines to try when needed. Would refer friends and family alike.

PROS: Accepts many insurance plans
CONS: Phone wait is long, about 10 min, don't call on Monday's!
