Mr Pitiful's

Bobby finds and cultivates the best local musicians. And I don't mean cover bands! I mean local song writers and singers and bands. The stage at Mr. Pitifuls puts the band in the middle of the room, with tables for dining/beers and plenty room left for dancing. Mr. Pitifuls has been a favorite place of mine since graduate school... If you like the Northside Tavern or the Comet or of you like rockabilly, blues, R&B and you're intrested in the NEW live original stuff, you need to be at Mr. PItiful's.

My fiance and I stumbled on this place one Saturday night after leaving a very trendy club full of young scantily clad clubbers. We had a blast with the over 35 grown folks at Mr. Pitifuls. The band was very good and they played a mix of R&B songs that inspired dancing and singing! Because this spot has a bar side and a lounge side, I recommend it for both a romantic evening full of conversation downtown or a "get your party on" night out. Super reasonable cover charge and reasonable drinks. You can have a fun night out without breaking the family bank!! Five stars for Mr. Pitifuls.

If you want to hang out at a place that you'll feel right at home, this is it! Everyone that works here is fantastic, especially Bob. You'll know that your business is greatly appreicated at Mr. Pitiful's. This bar is great for meeting a bunch of friends before heading out to other bars to dance, although once the bands start you may decide to stay.

I went to this place after work once and just loved it! It's a big bar and it about 2-3 blocks down from all the other bars on Main St, so you can walk. The crowd was classy. They were having a wine tasting when I was there, but they also serve martini's to beer to everything else. Very clean, hardwood floors, great atmosphere. They have pool tables in the back and have bands too. Good place to get a drink before hitting the other bars downtown.
