We've been using Belvoir Pet Hospital for over 20 years - won't go anywhere else! Exceptional vet care! We see Dr Farkas Jr and Sr...you can't go wrong with either of them! I've found the office and tech staff to be extremely friendly

I have stumbled across these reviews of the veterinarians at Belvoir Pet Hospital and found in disbelief the review that Dr. Radinsky??s care was a disappointing. I must say that Dr. Carol and the wonderful ladies at the front desk are caring and attentive. Dr. Carol is one of the most compassionate people that I??ve ever known. She handled my (not always so good) cat Buster with kind hands and I was able to appreciate what good veterinary care can be. I was so nervous due to my past experiences with vets and the fact that Buster didn??t freak out in the least was really terrific. I also found Dr. Radinsky to be thorough and complete in her explanation of Buster??s health. I got a call the next day when his blood tests came back. I will always recommend her to my friends and family.

I've been using Belvoir Pet Hospital for over 25 years and they have never let me down. They've always called me when they told me they would, I've been able to get in quickly in emergency situations and I've never had a problem getting thru via phone to ask a question or make an appointment. I find the staff friendly (yes, even to the animals) and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this vet office to anyone! We live in a different county now, but we drive in to see Dr Farkas Jr - he's truly a wonderful and caring vet.

This vet came highly recommended by several people and I have been repeatedly disappointed. I have never called and gotten through but have always had to leave a message for call back. I have had samples or labs sent and while I was told they would call me in two days with results. I have never gotten a call back. The staff is not particularly friendly with the animals (which is very different from every other veterinary clinic I have used). Recently they took my dog back to be weighed without me and then the vet came back and said they were giving her subq fluids. I was not upset with the treatment, but I should have been able to be with the animal. Dr. Radinsky's care is adequate but does not inspire much confidence. I am told the younger Dr. Farkas is the one to see, so I will give them one more chance with him, but otherwise, I will look elsewhere.

Dr. Sr. Farkas has taken care of our family's many, many pets for 3 generations. He seems to care about them as much as we do. He's involved with numerous rescue operations. When we have to put a pet down, he is a huge source of comfort. In case of emergency he has been most accommodating in getting a pet into the hospital. I'd have to say that "Dr. Joe Sr." is practically part of the family. There's no vet to whom I can give a stronger recommendation. Did I mention he has a sense of humor, and that his son Dr. Joe Jr. has joined the practice?

That said, I would love to see the waiting room expanded to allow a little more room between animals of different temperaments. Staff and 'patients' and customers are all just a little bit too crammed together sometimes.

Pros: Friendly, professional, caring, loads of experience

Cons: small-ish waiting room

The amazing thing to me about the docs at Belvoir Pet Hospital is their genuine care for animals. The care is first rate.

What sets Belvoir Pet Hospital apart from others are three things: 1) They have made time to see us when our pet was sick and we "walked in"; 2) the docs make follow-up calls to check on the pet (really!); and 3) they are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Assn. Only 36,000 vets have this accreditation and it speaks to me of the high quality of care they offer.

I think the hospital, doctors, and staff are great! I think people need to realize the fact that it is a busy hospital and everyone does their best to accommodate the customers. My advice is that if you have a problem with the hospital, doctor, or a staff member speak with the manager or doctor!?! These days I guess it is easier to type issues versus discussing issues, but I guess that would be
too easy?

I have dealt with all of the vets, and they are all wonderful. I have a very difficult cat (she hisses and goes crazy at the vet) but they have all been able to handle her well and somehow, have calmed her down. The big problem is that the waiting room is waaaay to small to have both cats and dogs waiting, and I stopped going here after a huge akita stuck her face into my cat's cage, hugely traumatizing her. The front desk staff is rather unfriendly but not a deal breaker.

I have gone to Belvoir for years and have always received excellent care and concern for my animals. This practice has been around for years and has a great reputation.

The facility is old, dingy and cramped, the receptionists are too busy answering the phone to deal with the clients in front of them, and if you are calling in you can rarely get through. The surgeon is good, Dr. Radinsky needs a vacation and to regain her focus. There is no doubt that they care about animals and are doing the best they can under "MASH" conditions.

I was recommended to Belvoir Pet Hospital by our realtor when we moved into the area. If you can make it past the rather cold receptionists and frequent voicemail, you will feel like your pet is in great hands.

I see Dr. Joe Jr. I love that he calls my dog by her name, or sometimes he calls her, "My friend." ("How are you doing today, my friend?") She seems to trust him, which is wonderful because I had to literally drag or carry her in to see our previous vet.

I found out about this wonderful vet service through a friend. I have a special needs cat and I have received A+ service in getting proper treatment for Sam, whom I treat as if he were my own flesh and blood. They are excellent with Sam and with all of my animals. Dr. Joe N. Farkas is the best - "old school" with a lot of emphasis on good morals and values. I love Sam with all my heart and would trust him with only the best and Sam still gets his care at Belvoir Pet Hospital.

PROS: very caring staff and vets
CONS: a tad expensive but you receive excellent vet services

Went there on a recommendation from a friend when I moved to the area. The staff made me feel very welcome. The doctors really care about your pet, and not just take care of them, but educate and actually talk to you about your pet's needs and what you can do.

PROS: Great staff
CONS: None

This animal hospital has been run by the same family of doctors for two generations. The family business aspect of it combined with the veternarians obvious love for their furry customers makes it a really comforting place for both the pets and their owners. Since its a hospital, any medical need your pet might have can be taken care of right at the hospital rather than at a strange place. They do a good job of comforting skittish dogs and keeping them calm and still enough to receive shots and treatment safely.

PROS: Superb care and comprehensive service
CONS: Sort of expensive
