This is a nice little place to stop into. I think their rates a slightly high on some things but overall they are pretty reasonable. They have a nice variety of equipment, and the atmosphere is good. It's actually kinda fun just to go in and look around even if your not buying anything.

I remember coming here when I was 8 years old with my father and buying a flute so I could take private flute lessons. An eight year old boy taking flute lessons might seem a little, uhh... weird, but whatever. I was inspired by my grammy. =)

Well, my flute playing aspirations didn't last long and I moved onto other instruments. Now, 12 years later, I finally returned to this business that I had fond memories of as a child. It wasn't quite as 'magical' as I had remembered, but it's still nice nevertheless. They seem to focus primarily on beginner instruments. It's definitely worth patroning.

Martin Music is small. Its inventory is thin and has no high-end items. That said, its employees are largely knowledgeable and they fill a niche in the community. It's a place a kid can get his first guitar, a novice can pick up an instrument, or someone with a bit more expertise can buy a pack of strings or some guitar picks.
