This tiny place has been in Mentor since the FIRST time fondue restaurants were all the rage and has continued to prosper because of their fast service, fresh ingredients, and great prices. I remember going their in Kindergarten with my Mom and it still hasn't changed. A real Mentor landmark!

Go with a full wallet and leave with a full stomach and a smile. Very classy and romantic but not "fancy." It is reminiscent of a French chalet - rather dark with lots of wooden finishings. Good for a leisurely business lunch, meeting old friends or family, or a special night with the wife. There are lots of great dipping sauces, and the service was excellent. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

Pros: ambience, fun experience, tasty food

Cons: pricey, for for vegetarians

after a recent visit to the potpourri,I was thrilled that although ownership had changed for the first time in 27 years, the service and food were still top notch. A review was long coming for this destination spot. especially after reading a recent review about having to cook your own food and pay high prices. First of all a trip to potpourri fondues only competition in legacy would find that reviewer still cooking her own food but for 15 to25 dollars more per person. Stick with the original fondue ,Potpourri!!!!

This was my first fondue experience. I didn't realize that fondue meant I would be cooking my own food in a little pot filled with oil situated in the middle of the table. So that you aren't as suprised as I am, I will help to set an expectation. This restaurant is a very warm and romantic. The decor reminds me of the 70's. Wooden furniture and paneling, etc. There are NO FREE REFILLS on the soft drinks. The waitress was very nice and attentive. She taught us how to cook our food and directed us to entrees that would give us the full experience. The meat and vegetables came to our table raw in small portions. The meat needed to be seasoned a little better. For the cheese/fruit/bread appetizer, steak/shrimp/scallop/chicken meal for two the check was over $50.

I love this place. The owner and staff are always so pleasant. They make you feel at home in this cozy romantic place. I've had the different types of fundue meals as well as their wonderful chocolate fondue. I enjoy them all. This is a great place to sit back, open a bottle of wine, enjoy the romantic setting and relax.

Couples, families and groups of friends are happy to cozy up to a cauldron at this fondue spot. The requisite offering of Swiss and cheddar melted with wine and a hit of spice is on the menu, as are the standard meat courses of chicken,…
