Last night was the first time my wife and I had dinned at Rosies and after reading some of the local reviews I was a little sceptical. First Rosie's has a great web site that we reviewed to get an idea of what the menu offered that was very helpful. We had 8:30 reservations but when we arrived we were told there would be a short wait and another larger party that was there before us had been waiting 30 to 45 minutes, and after waiting for 15 minutes I nearly called a friend that owns a local restaurant to see if he had an opening but after 20 minutes we were taken to our table. My wife was not happy with where we we seated and requested a booth and the hostess waisted no time to find us one. The server was superb, She helped us with our wine choice and the selection was perfect. The timing at which the food was brought to the table was like clockwork and the food was delicious better than I Anticipated. And the excellent service from our waitress made this a very good dinning experience not to mention the marvelous atmosphere. I can see why when people go there they are in no hurry to leave. My wife and I have many favorite restaurants in Toledo and last night we added Rosie's to the list in fact we cant wait to go back.I would recommend Rosies to anyone, Excellent job. Thank you Michael for suggesting Rosie's. Mike and Dorothy

This place is a favorite of our family in Toledo. They have several locations and we have been to many of them. The pizza is quite different from any other that you will find. Slightly thicker crust, rectangular pieces, light on the cheese, good fresh tasting sauce. A nice change of pace from classic greasy options. Mama's bread is a must!

Love the food, love the service, love the martinis! Always nice when staff knows you by name.

★★★★★

We love Rosie's food & good service but don't get there as often as we'd like. Would come out more often if there were incentives to help stretch the dining $ - i.e., Entertainment Book, restaurant & Groupon participation. LOVE the smoked fish dip!

★★★★★

Fantastic - my favorite restaurant.

Haven't been there in awhile---we live out of town but always look forward to going there.

We have always had great service and great food at Rosies.

Good consistant meals. I love the fact that you are reasonable on corkage fees.

Great service, wonderful food. Great ambiance.

★★★★★

Always a good experience. Great bar area and atmosphere. Little more variety in live music would be good.

Our Dine in experience is always excellant. We have limited time for an occassional lunch and service is always quick so we can get in and out. The only problem we have is when we order take-out. On several occassions we have gotten back to the office only to find out we have no utinsils. Soup is especially hard to eat without a spoon.

Love the food!

Though I have always gotten carryout, the food is always delicious and the employees cheerful and friendly.

""Lot of Fun............Love the servers in the restaurant area. I brought someone from New Hampshire there and the waiter we had on the outside patio was delightful and a lot of fun.

What a Delight to dine at Rosie?s Italian Grille with friends and family. The wait staff was extremely helpful and pleasant in serving our groups. There was even a surprise birthday greeting! The meals were attractively presented and cooked to perfection. Dinner at Rosie?s Italian Grille will be a treasured memory. A sincere thank you to you and your staf

The food was very good, and the waitress was friendly.

I WAS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL WAIT STAFF FOR THE ROSIES ON MCCORD. I WATCHED THE ORIGINAL ROSIES BEING BUILT AND STILL FEEL THE SAME JOY AND EXCITEMENT NOW WHEN I BUY THE HOT MAMMA BREAD HERE IN DAYTON OHIO WERE I NOW LIVE. EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS SINCE I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN ABLE TO EAT INSIDE AN ACTUAL RESTAURANT, I KNOW I CAN TAKE ROSIES HOME WITH ME. i ADMIRE THE AMBITION AND LOVE THAT THE BORONE FAMILY HAVE FOR THEIR PATRONS AND FOR THEIR STAFF. AS FOR THE NEW ROSIE'S ITALLIAN GRILLE, I LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN I CAN ACTUALLY VISIT THE RESTAURANT. I THINK IT IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL. CONGRATULATIONS JOHN BARONE, MICHAEL BARONE, AND PHIL BARONE. JOB WELL DONE.

I have been to the new and improved Rosies several times. The food is amazing and the wait staff are prompt and very friendly. I recommend Rosie's to all my friends and family.

Rosie's was a great place to go when I was a teen, back when they were on Heatherdowns. Their new location on McCord is immaculate, with great decor. A little dark in the later evening, but still romantic. Food is still great, with an expanded menu. The price has increased some, to my disappointment, decreasing the frequency I can visit. Despite this, I will still come back because the food is too good.

I got the meatball and italian sausage spaghetti. The meats are made by restaurant and pretty tasty. Portion was big and priced well. The salad looked like it had been sitting out for a while pre-made. My wife got fish which was prepared and seasoned well.

I came to Rosie's recently for a friends' birthday party. I had never been before and thought the atmosphere was really cool. Very nice bar area, we were served our drinks in a timely manner. Was a little taken aback by the prices, but thought for real Italian food it would be worth it. The appetizers were great! Had the bruschetta and crab cakes, absolutely wonderful

The place was always packed and the food delicious. The newly redesigned place is lovely, but the service is horrible and the food is grossly over-priced. I recently had a $12 salad that had only TWO (2) shrimp on it... for $12. ?? It was great, but it is way too expensive. I don't mind paying for quality, but give me some substance to go with it. Pizza is still good there though.

★★★★★

They have amazing food. The service is getting better but you cannot beat their chicken parmesean...amazing. Their homemade gelato is great too!

We love going to Rosie's during the week when they have 1/2 price appetizers and gourmet pizzas (served at the bar only). Of course, no one can pass up the hot mama bread, and I love their gourmet pizzas. During the week, the two of us can eat dinner for less than $15. Otherwise, they do have some great italian dishes, and I've have some great fresh fish dishes as well. We tend to think the entrees are a bit overpriced though.

This is quite possibly the best restaurant in Toledo. My boss comes from England a few times a year and each time he wants to visit Rosie's. Another friend won't dine anywhere else. The staff is great. I have had mediocre service only once. All other times were exceptional. The staff knows you by name. The bar area is very friendly and homey, yet elegant -- with an extensive wine list. And the dining area is splendid. During the summer there is outdoor dining. Rosie's is a bit pricey, but worth it if you have a special occasion. My only complaint is that they are only open until 10 p.m.

This Rosie's was closed down and renovated. It is now a nice restaurant, not a pizza place. the service is friendly. There is a fair amount of vegetarian options on the menu. Before your meal they bring you Zingermans bread, with dipping oil and balsamic vinegar glaze, yummy. If you go to this Rosie's get the manicotti, it is great, with both tomato sauce and an alfredo sauce.

This place is a hidden gem, and my new Toledo-area favorite. Reasonably priced, expansive menu options, huge portions, friendly and accommodating staff. And, most importantly, everything was delicious from the first bite to the last. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, the oil mix was so delicious I was wondering if they sold it by the bottle (forgot to ask), the pistaschio-crusted chicken was to die for. (And not that it's hard to make, but my Caeser salad was great too). I can't wait to eat the leftovers for dinner tomorrow. My mother said the tomato basil soup was the best she'd ever had, and she's not quick to compliment. Next time I plan on trying the calamari, lobster bisque, and baby lamb chops. The service was wonderful too- we arrived at 5:30 and had to be at a concert 20 minutes away by 7. We were seated right away, and they got us out of there with time to spare, without us ever feeling rushed. My glass was never empty, and the waiter stopped by several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The ambience was pretty nice too. We came in jeans, but I wouldn't feel too out of place in a skirt and heels if I were coming after work. They had pretty Christmas trees in the foyer, and it was so cozy and inviting after the cold outside. Nice wood booths, a fireplace, quiet and un-crowded dining areas. I would take my boyfriend here for a romantic date, but it's casual enough to just come for a family dinner or meet a friend for lunch. Seriously, a much better value, equal-if-not-superior food quality, and not as stuffy as Mancy's Italian.

My wife and I love Rosie's. The pizza, Stromboli, and pistacio crusted chicken are top notch. My personal favorite is the grouper sandwich though. It comes on their hot mama bread, and it's fabulous. We mostly get carryout, but the times we've eaten in the restaurant, the staff has been very courteous and service good.

★★★★★

My daughter and I stopped in for an impromptu lunch and were delighted. The atmosphere and quality of food surpassed the other Italian restaurants we have patronized in Toledo. Jenny M. was a terrific waitress and made us feel welcome and special. We will certainly return to Rosie's soon!

Pros: The lunch prices are exceptional for the quality!

Cons: A parmesan shaker at the table would be nice
