WARNING: DO NOT HIRE HOGG TO DO ANYTHING!! My hubby & I own a bar. We hired Hogg to look @ our ice machine & clean out the coils on commercial coolers. Jack, the owner, came out. They did a poor job cleaning the coils & charged us for 6

I would like to rate this company, however they do not offer a negative rating system. All that we wanted was a simple A/C clean and check, they were supposed to come on Saturday, but after waiting for 4 hours, no one showed. Spoke with the owner, who admitted to getting the dates mixed up. He said that he would come out on Monday after 5 and do the job himself, since were already inconvienced. Again, no show... called him again, and when I amswered, he said ""are you sure that was today"". I would not recommend this company for anything... the owner clearly is clueless on how to run a business.

I contracted Hogg Heating company to complete installation of two furnaces. The owner (Jack) begged me for the work. He said he needed to eat and his workers were broke. They were able to start, and another reason I contracted and signed contract.\n\nThe contract clearly states how work was to be completed. The furnace was to receive proper installation as described in contract. Clearly noted was how many returns would be installed. Instead furnace was not installed correct, resulting in problems such as backdrafting.\n\nAfter Hogg workers left job and charging over $11,000 for work on my credit card. I contacted them because the City Building department failed their work. They came once back because of worry of being thrown out of city I suppose.\n\nAt the same time of inspection failure, I contacted them after I saw another charge on my credit card, quickly I saw another charge. I contacted them and they promise me they would credit the error of two extra charges. They continue to stall on crediting me. I never imagine a company would be so deliberate in stealing from me. I realize after it was to late to dispute credit card charge, they were just lying to steal.\n\n I own several properties. When they realize I was using another HVAC company I assume they realize I would not use them again, they decided to never pay me the money they owe. I also was trying to get them to finish, so I did not have to hire another HVAC company to finish job, which ultimately I did.\n\nHogg Heating has the most complaints filed against them through the Better Business Bureau for any Heating and Cooling Companies in NE Ohio.\n\nI attempted to contact them resulting in Jack's wife in a illiterate drawl screamed they lost their records,and would not do anything.\n\nI have all documents proving everything and in the process of suing them. They claim they lost all of theirs.\n\nFurther, they list on their web site happy customers. My response to this there is -there is no way of verifying anyone -because no address,city, or phone number is given. I would take the testimony of 25 complaints from different customers of theirs listed with the Better Business plus other unhappy customers.\n\nTo me-They are consistent liars, cheats, ripoff !!!!!!!\n

I've used HOGG Heating for years. They service my furnace and air yearly, I've also recomended them to several friends and co workers. They have also serviced my pool heater and and offered advice on other units and connections. I usually get a call back within 24 hours. See their trucks in alot yards in and around Parma\r\n

I would like to state that the person answering the phone there has the worst attitude of anyone I have come across. I then called to complain to the boss only to find that he is married to her. No wonder why she is the way she is. I have done business with them for a long time and can promise that after hearing her mouth I will take my business elsewhere.

On Thursday , when temperatures had dropped below 10 degrees, our furnace stopped working. At 4:30 A.M., I placed a call to Hogg Heating and Cooling Inc., the company who installed our furnace, who claims to have 24 hour emergency service. My call was not returned. I placed another call at 6:30 A.M. Once again, my call was not returned. Due to the dropping temperature in my home and the fact that I have 2 young children, I placed a call to another company who came to service the furnace. Upon their arrival they found a faulty limit switch and a slight leak in the gas connection due to a faulty street 90 that was originally installed by Hogg. Parts were replaced and repairs were made at a cost of $550.00. The company that made the repairs left the faulty parts and told us to call Hogg since the furnace is still under warranty for faulty parts. I placed another call to Hogg Heating and Cooling at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, and asked to speak to the owner. Once again, my call was not returned. I placed one more call at about 4:30 P.M. and finally got a call back from the owner. I proceeded to tell him what happened and asked him how he could help me. He proceeded to raise his voice, telling me that he did not owe me a thing. He also told me that the reason he did not call back on Thursday morning to answer my emergency calls because he was sleeping. He was very upset that I called another company and told me that I didn't try hard enough to reach him. He finally told me that he didn't like my attitude, didn't have to listen to this on a Friday afternoon and hung up on me. He immediately called back and said ""We must have gotten disconnected."" He raised his voice once again, insincerely apologized and told me to call the other company to get help with the warranty.\r\n\r\nI would avoid this place like the plague.
