This place is a real find. We bought a bag full of breads, cookies, desserts and a couple of soups for a road trip, because we can't stand "highway food." Were we glad we did. Delicious, European-style crusty bread, not the wimpy, doughy

Fabulous, fabulous bread!!! I can't believe this shop is in Columbus, Ohio. We've been hanging around the suburbs too much. Sophisticated, flavorful bread, reminded me of trips to France. We bought a big bag of breads, olives baked in cheddar dough, rustic French cookies and pretzel rolls (!!!) to eat on the road because we can't stand "highway food."
We also got a couple of excellent soups there and took t all with us.
Ripping chunks of bread from the loaves, then diving into the bag and discovering another delicious surprise. The best road trip we've had in years. So glad we found you, Omega-fabulous, fabulous! (I liked the lemon cake, my husband loved the Omega cake-try both).

We purchased a loaf of what was called "Rustic French". The loaf was so overbaked that the crust was too hard to eat. The soft portion of the bread inside the loaf was less than 20% of the entire loaf. This bread is only usable as very hard croutons or bread crumbs.
And if this is the purpose of this bread then it should be noted on the sign advertising this bread.
What we took back to our hotel as a treat ended up in the trash.

This little bakery makes REAL bread! Nice crust, great taste, like in France. When we first moved here from New York, we thought we'd never find decent bread, we tried all the other bakeries and groceries. Then, Omega opened, and we found bread to rival what we got in NY or Europe! One of us goes there at least twice a week to get bread, rolls, focaccia and desserts. Try it on a Saturday when the selection is best! And take home a piece of their lemon cake or an Omega cake (like a snack cake only WONDERFUL!)

Now I can't have a party without ordering from Omega---my friends expect it! I only wish it were a restaurant instead of a bakery!
Although I have enjoyed every single bread, the foccacia is beyond heaven. One generous slice of foccacia, a green salad and a glass of wine and you feel as if you're in Italy!
Another favorite is the raisin bread-with walnuts and perfect for toasting or eating just as it is. This bread is too good for butter!
The desserts have thrown me off my diet more than once. I have never tasted a better cookie than the Browned butter walnut cookie.
There isn't anything that I have ever tried here that I didn't like. Sorry, Dr. Atkins!
