Beacon has the best meat and deli. I love all of the items that they make themselves. They make their own Turkey, Roast Beef, Chicken Salad, Ham Salad ....... And their meats are the best. They fresh cut their choice to prime steak daily. Their ground beef is the best too! I love their Amish Chicken and Fresh Pork.

It is so easy and convenient to shop. And the people are so friendly. I would much rather shop at Beacon than a big grocery store.

I have only been to two of Beacon's locations, and neither time was I impressed. My first visit was to their store on Beacon Street in Mt Washington. Having grown up in Mt Washington, I always knew of the store, but my family never used it as a grocery. I stopped in to take a look about 2 or 3 months ago, and was a little shocked the place was still in business. The store was cramped, with the shelves barely lined with enough groceries to make the place look full. The shopping carts were stored in the middle of one of their isles, very inconvenient. The deli looked a little empty, with some ready to go meals behind the glass. There was some sort of chicken entree ready to heat up that looked pretty good, but I didn't buy. Nothing about the inside of the store made me want to purchase anything. The produce was lacking, with the bananas old, the corn dead, and most of the case pretty empty.

I left the beacon street store, knowing I probably wouldn't return. 2 weeks ago I decided to give them a second chance and visited the Clough store. While the clough store was much cleaner, the experience inside was just the same. Shelves more than half empty, the meat case lacking anything worth buying, and an overall feeling that nobody who was working there was there for more than a paycheck.

I learned today that the Clough Store is now closing, which doesn't surprise me. Sorry Beacon Foods, but I won't be back. This seems like a business that has a lot of trouble running itself successfully.

I have been shopping at their Beacon Street location for several years now. They really are a "last man standing" as far as local grocers go. The meat department is great, Tim will custom cut you steaks right in front of your eyes. At the Clough location however, I have never had a single positive experience. I hope Mr. Eliot comes to his sense and closes down Clough in order to double the already spectacular service at Beacon st.

Beacon Food Mart is one of those neighborhood food markets that seemingly only appears in the movies. The location is perfect for a short walk along a bustling street. The help knows your name regardless if you shop with them once a month or every day. For many neighbors it is the food stop (after going to the "Super Market") for those select cuts of beef or any other item desired for the perfect cook-out! I give it five stars, and two thumbs up!

Two steps up from your gas station/quik mart food, this small family owned store has high prices, small but good selection, and a great little deli. The staff is very friendly, and the location can't be beat. Parking is fairly good for such a small place, and I understand this store is now delivering for a nominal fee, something even the largest of the chain gorceries in Cinci haven't caught onto.
