Royal York Pet Motel

I never take my dog to a kennel but being the holidays I needed a place for him to go while I was gone. Bottom line, people were very rude, environment was cold, dogs in cages, sleep on concrete floor, no toys, ran like a business rather than a pet friendly place. Strongly do not recommend!!

Normally I wouldn't leave a review but I was amazed with the excellent service. They were very accomidating and treated my dog like a king! I highly recomend and will be a return customer.

The owner was rude over the phone and was willing to "look the other way" if my pet didn't have all her shots.

When I mentioned other kennels required the shot he hung up on me. If he treats a potential customer like that over the phone imagine how he'll treat your pet!

No one ever likes to leave thier pets in a kennel. However, this is the best place I have found. My dogs don't even seem to mind going there. They provide premium (biljac) food if you don't provide any, give the pets excercize, and keep them happy and healthy! The only thing is you have to pick them up at certain times, and those are not always the most convienient. Otherwise its a great place though. Go and feel secure!

I guess I'm just not too crazy about kennels. I think most might be this way, but it seemed a rather cold environment for my pet as he was in his own space with a cement floor. I'm sure he was treated ok and we had to board our dog without much time and they were nice enough to accomodate us, but in the future, I think I"d rather have a neighbor help out!
