Divine Company finished my basement and did a nice job. I also had Divine build a deck with high quality manufactured decking and this has been a nightmare. I have tried several times with absolutely no success to contact Rob Hickman at Divine to address the problems but Rob has been completely unresponsive and unwilling to even discuss the problems with me. When they built the deck I noticed that they were not using joist hangers on the sub frame. I asked them about this while they were building the deck and they said it was not needed and proceeded to build the frame without the hangers. When they placed the decking down I also noticed they were laying the decking down right next to each other and not leaving the standard gap between the planks. I asked about this and they told me that with the type of decking they were using you do not do this and instead put the decking right next to each other. Well, now I see I was 100% correct and they were 100% wrong. The deck is completely uneven, the decking is seriously buckling up and breaking the rusting "rust proof" screws. The decking is also cracking the stucco on my house and damaging the house and structure. They sub frame is seriously warped and an absolute mess. I would stay far away from this company based on this experience.
