Very Unhappy with Ohio Gas Services

We contacted ohio gas as we were very unhappy with our previous provider. We were promised they would not make huge price increases after the first year. Well that was a lie. The 2nd year the increase was huge and much higher then any other propane dealer was charging. Customer service is non existent. This year propane has dropped dramatically and they are still wanting to charge us last years prices. Not a happy customer at all

Quick to take your money but not pay you back

After 13 years of doing business with Ohio Gas, my family moved to another home. I ALWAYS paid my bills on time and in FULL no matter how much that stretched the budget. I called to have our lease stopped and get a refund for the gas I paid for that was still in the tank (80% full). I was assured it would be taken care of right away. Two months later I had not heard from them, so I called. They had not gone out to read the tank yet, and they were more concerned about the tank lease for the new person than helping me! Finally, after me calling them everyday, they read the tank; but of course it was down to 65%. The manager promised me I would get my refund in 4-6 weeks. Here it is 10 weeks later and 4 months since I first requested my refund and I still do NOT have my refund. This company's only concern is to get THEIR money not helping a dedicated client.

Stand up Company

I have done business with Ohio Gas for several years and have had nothing but good experiences. I would recommend this company to everyone. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I am on a monthly budget with automatic fill. I can rest at ease knowing they are taking great care of me. I personally have never run out of gas. I also rent a water softener from them as well. Great Company!

We've had what passes for service from this company for 6 years. Although we are on auto-fill, we have run out of LP every winter...usually during a holiday or the coldest day of the year. This year, is no different. Despite repeated calls to warn them we were getting low, (again, we're on "auto-fill" which means they are supposed to check on our fuel level periodically), we still ran out. (It's a bone chilling 28 degrees here). We've never been offered any solution, such as a larger tank, nor offered any alternative payment plans, such as a budget...which makes sense because obviously, no one at this company has bothered to take a look at our usage levels. Basically, when the tank was set before we moved here, that was the end of the customer service.
Oh, they're on their way now, (a day before regularly scheduled delivery) but it will be hours before my house is warm again...after I bleed the lines of air bubbles and make sure my furnace is operating properly again.
I should point out that their drivers have always been courteous and safety-minded. My issues seem to stem more from a service management problem.

Great company to switch to, but don't stay with them.

I contacted them to handle our propane service. The initial year was fair prices & a great installation deal. I contacted them to fill my tank the next summer, to get the lowest prices of the year, and got a fair price again. They came by when I was not home this January, topped off my tank that was still 35 percent full, and left me a bill for an outrageous amount. 30% higher price per gallon than the local average (according to the OPGA - Ohio Propane Gas Association). Boy! Can you say GOTCHA!

Conditioning.

Ohio Gas & Water Conditioning has always provided me and my family with quality service. Ever since switching to them from their competitor (who will remain nameless for the sake of not hurting any feelings), we've noticed a dramatic change for the better. We couldn't be any happy.
