BEWARE! Don't use them if you actually need to receive your whole order, or the right size, or the right color. Having ordered sugar flowers over a month in advance, I only got 1/2 of them. Then they resent the other half but in the wrong color. Which made me realize the first half were the wrong size. They offered me half a refund after never telling me the replacement order didn't get shipped. I'm going to dispute with the credit card company. They suck - don't give them your business. Surely there is someone out there with an ounce of pride in what they do and some decent customer service you could use instead.

I ordered 16 items, worth $290 for a new and important work project. My mother paid for them as a Birthday gift, but listed my email as a contact point. A few days before I received my package I got a "refund conformation" for $51 email with no further info on what was refunded. I got the package, minus 5 items worth over $100 combined. I also got a gift receipt that listed one item listed twice (I ordered one, received one), as well as an item that wasn't in the box, since it was a gift receipt there were no prices and after the defund notice with no prices I was very confused. Annoyed, I sent an email asking for simply itemized lists of 1. What I ordered 2. What they sent, and charged me for 3. What they didn't send and what they refunded. I said I was disappointed and confused. I detailed everything above.

They sent me an email with lists of what they sent and what I originally bought, and resent the "refund notification" with nothing listed. I emailed again asking for an explanation. I got a list of questions about my box, and the "refund notification" again. I called the store, she "assured" me nothing shady was going on and that she couldn't help me, and that this was a family business and I needed to send yet another email.

So I did. By now, I'm really really upset. I ask again for the itemized list, again she sends me my original invoice and a list of box questions. My next email is really unpleasant, I asked if she had even read my emails, if she had calculated these numbrs herself before sending me the same useless info. I told her I was going to the BBB review sites etc to warn people about sugarcraft. She then realized that I had been charged twice for one item and refunded an additional $24. At this point sugarcraft now only owes me $26 to make my order right.

I write another email asking again for an explanation of my refund, and telling her I couldn't believe how dismissive she was when there were so many problems with my order in the first place, and with all the bad reviews already out there (I noticed only after all this) and their F rating with the BBB, I didn't expect any resolution. She sent box questions, I answered them and asked for the refund list AGAIN. My next email was very unpleasant. She then called the number on the order, and spoke to my mom who I hadn't spoken to yet about this. Apparently she was crying and going on about being a "person" and called me hateful and said she just wanted to help.

I sent another email, with all info she was asking for saying that we would be done with this if she simply refunded the money. I then told her I wasn't going to retract my statements about her business because of the other reviews and claims of scams on the Internet. She wrote me back, this time calling me mean, and hateful etc. then asked more box questions. I lost it, I wrote her an email detailing my complaint and included full comments cut and pasted from sites like this one where other people had the SAME issue with the same treatment from her.

The next email from her claimed that my mother sides with her on this (not true) and that my mom said I was "hateful" (not true) and high-strung(true, the woman was crying, and my mom had NO idea why). Along with some additional box questions. So I answered the questions AGAIN and this time took pictures of the box. Since then, I have gotten no response from her or the refund. I have however gotten a few emails from her mother that make no sense at all.

I have reported them to the BBB, the FTC and advise everyone else to do the same. Either this business is simply lazy and doesn't care, or they are scamming people terribly. Either way, they need to be seriously looked into. I've never had a buying experience quite this bad.

I have never been treated so badly anyplace I have spent so much money. It took one encounter with the owner/manager to swear me off this place forever. It is within 3 miles of my home but I would rather pay the gas to go elsewhere that to let them make a dime off of me ever again.

You would think at some point this company would look at all of the horrible reviews they get and realize its not the customers who are the problem, but rather them! THEY are the common denominator! I'd give them zero stars if I could!
I ordered online from them and called about my order. They were out of stock with a few items, and if I wanted my order shipped without them, and then the other items shipped weeks later when they come in, I would have to pay for delivery twice. I just stated that seemed to not be very customer friendly and it would make me question ordering from them again. The lady went off! She said "I'm too tired & sick to deal with this. And I have a son at home with a 104 degree tempturature. Do you know I'm a human being? I'm a human being?". OMG!! What?!?! I'm trying to run a business and was counting on the items I purchased from sugarcraft...but this lady is tired and sick!! What smart company wouldn't want to know what would make a customer either buy from them or go somewhere else? Wouldn't you want feedback from customers and assess is the $5.00 shipping really worth it if you lose $1000's in business. And it was the owners daughter whom I spoke with! Unbelievable!! Cakedeco.com is a FAR more friendly company that I've been buying from for years.

If I want to get screwed I could stay at home, but instead I drove 35 miles to Sugarcraft at 9 am. I needed 3 things, none of which were stocked on the shelves. I had to ask for everything. One thing I needed was a 200 count box baking cups. The sales lady got them from the back and handed everything to "Cheryl", I was never given a chance to look at my purchases.....weird. Once in the car I realized she didn't give me a receipt....weird. I had to go back in for it, in 1 minute Cheryl had already folded up my reciept and put it on a different counter...weird.
When I got home I realized I was given mini baking cups not standard size. Ok .. easy mistake right? So I called back and pushed the # to speak with Sue. Sue was rude and nasty to me. Sue informed me she doesn't take things back, because she doesn't know if I have dogs or smokes??? WTH. I was informed that she doesn't sell things that have been used..... if I came back right this minute I might get an exchange. Easier said than done. I had kids to get off the bus.
I asked to speak to the owner, and was informed that she was the owner. Wow, her customer service skills sucked. Sue was rude and nasty I know now why she stays in the back! People beware! When I took them back they had my replacement on the counter. Cheryl told me the girl realized her mistake after I left?! So how do they compensate me for their mistake ...by charging me an extra $1.59 for the right baking cups and making me drive 35 miles. No apology was given. Bad business....Customer is never right should be their moto. I won't be going back and will be discouraging others from going there. "Sue weeeee"...won't be back!

One item was $9.00 dollars and the other was $7.00 and I told the lady just that, she said we can not take this back, I said it was not open, she said it has no plastic on it ,I said you didn't sale it to me with plastic on it and it is not a eatable item and the receipt said I can bring items back with in 15 days. I then ask for the manager she said we can't take it back I said again what is the managers name and I want the No. she then got on the phone calling to the back, then let me get something in place of what I brought back, I'm really thinking about taking all the items back and order what I need on line and or go back to where I been shopping at the cake place in Reading

I ordered online and I accidently ordered the wrong thing. No problem, I understood that it was my fault. With the padded shipping (far more than if you or I shipped the same weight items) returning them would be far more expensive than just keeping them so I just reordered. I called them and the very ornate routing system was difficult to understand and I had to hang up. After that, I did email them to find if there was a less expensive way to ship the items, the person was ominously saying that the could ship them more cheaply via USPS and if they were uninsured they wouldn't be responsible for the damage. All in all, they told me that it would save me a dollar. I translated that as "We are going to give you our crappy broken down trays that fell on the floor and then pass them off as damaged by the USPS." The padded shipping was twice what the very light candy trays cost me. What's funny is I mailed a package via USPS, that was several times the weight of my package just days before that cost less. What's really sad for them is that I have been doing chocolates for years and am in chocolatier school for the certification. I know a lot of chocolatiers (both in the school and alumni) that are starting or have their own businesses and would benefit from small purchases until they can order larger quantities. I will tell them to steer clear of Sugarcraft.

Sugarcraft is the worse!!! I'm a 52 year old woman who has done business with hundreds of suppliers via the web. Sugarcraft not only has the worse customer service, they are dishonest. Their mantra is Sugarcraft is right, the customer is wrong.
They will send a package with missing items. They will then refuse to acknowledge that they did not send the product. The owner is an elderly lady who is rude, obnoxious and will hang up on you if you disagree with her. Their ??account manager? is her daughter. Even more rude and obnoxious than her mom.
Their computer system rejected my order. They sent the items anyway. When questioned, they said too bad, I was stuck with the products, and they will not accept returns.
HORIBLE HORIBLE HORIBLE COMPANY. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I did not receive the order I placed with this company online and contacted them by e mail to notify them of the problem. I received a reply in which I was told " it was shipped, so it was probably stolen from your house after it was delivered, which is not our fault so there is nothing we can do." I was pretty blown away by this response. As I do not have a delivery address of cell #7 San Quentin, I really found the reply a bit offensive. I replied, that as I had placed an order for, and paid for, products from their company, I believed it was reasonable that I expected to actually receive those products, and that I could not believe that I was being told that it was "probably stolen" and my loss of the money I had spent with their company was not their fault or problem. What kind of company treats a customer who has paid for goods like that? They replied that I should go knock on all of my neighbors doors to make sure they did not have my package, and look around and make sure the wind did not blow it away, and once again it was not their problem. I replied that I really thought it was very poor business practice to (see above and) send a customer all over their neighborhood searching for an order when they had failed to receive it. That good business practices would have been to immediately apologize for the problem, reissue the order and then try to clear up the problem with their carrier. I received a reply " Thanks for the business advice, but don't bother sending anymore because it won't be taken." !!!!!!! This is the rudest company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. To the extent that I ended up contacting the BBB about them. To my complete lack of surprise they have a lousy rating. Once the BBB contacted them with my complaint a letter was issued stating that all I had to do was fill out a simple form and they would quickly reissue my order. Really??? It's your money. If you enjoy paying for nothing but being treated badly, I highly suggest spending it here.

I was pretty blown away by this response. As I do not have a delivery address of cell #7 San Quentin, I really found the reply a bit offensive. I replied, that as I had placed an order for, and paid for, products from their company, I believed it was reasonable that I expected to actually receive those products, and that I could not believe that I was being told that it was "probably stolen" and my loss of the money I had spent with their company was not their fault or problem. What kind of company treats a customer who has paid for goods like that? They replied that I should go knock on all of my neighbors doors to make sure they did not have my package, and look around and make sure the wind did not blow it away, and once again it was not their problem. I replied that I really thought it was very poor business practice to (see above and) send a customer all over their neighborhood searching for an order when they had failed to receive it. That good business practices would have been to immediately apologize for the problem, reissue the order and then try to clear up the problem with their carrier. I received a reply " Thanks for the business advice, but don't bother sending anymore because it won't be taken." !!!!!!! This is the rudest company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. To the extent that I ended up contacting the BBB about them. To my complete lack of surprise they have a lousy rating. Once the BBB contacted them with my complaint a letter was issued stating that all I had to do was fill out a simple form and they would quickly reissue my order. Really??? It's your money. If you enjoy paying for nothing but being treated badly, I highly suggest spending it here.

Poor customer service. Actually had to email to make sure that they had gotten everything processed WEEKS after the payment had gone through. They emailed me back saying they were shipping it the next day. Never got a shipping notice.

Didn't get any paperwork with the shipment- no apology, extras or even basic order information. Don't bother; there are companies who CARE.

Can I give them a negative number of stars? I'm finished with them. The contact people are arrogant, in an "I don't need YOU" sense. SLOW SLOW SLOW in processing and shipping, yet fast as lightening in charging you a restocking fee of 15% when I cancelled an order before 24 hours! Nasty service, and hideous website.

HORRIBLE customer service. Items ordered were not in stock and their website doesn't reflect this. Even after they notified me that they were not in stock they are still listed as available on their website. Shipped the rest of the items (the most inexpensive part of my order) and still charged me an arm and a leg for shipping and if I want the items that were out of stock I have to wait until they are back in stock, reorder and pay shipping AGAIN! Customer service has no clue. Kept referring me back to their TOS (which is very chaotic to read) but its also a bunch of bull because they have to adhere to FTC rules FIRST yet they think their TOS overrides them.

I ordered supplies from this web site and have yet to receive an email stating that my items have been shipped and it has been one week. When I email them I get no response. When I call, no one answers the phone or the line hangs up. I then attempted to read on BBB or other web sites and most of the reviews are horrible. I have called my credit card company and filed for a dispute. The funds are now frozen until they can show proof of delivery. Will never use them again. All I would of wanted was confirmation that they were working on my order.

a great place to order stuff is at Grandm's Cupboard 1297 Krumroy Road Akron Ohio 44305 and phone is 330-784-1712..............unfortunately they do not have a website.....their store is filled with anything and everything you need or want for candy making and cake supplies. And they ship, just phone in your order.

Unfortunately this is the only place where I can find my Alpine Shortening (hi-ratio)....anyone have any other suppliers? I hate to give Sugarcraft my business because their website is so screwed up, you can't call for customer service, and they always mess up my order. And then like the others who have commented here it is nearly impossible to rectify it. Surprisingly on this order I just received they only messed up one item - charged me for the item I actually ordered but shipped something else instead. These were cupcake storage containers and I ordered 12 of them. Instead of apologizing and agreeing to ship me the correct items (which I need by next week) and telling me to keep or toss the wrong ones (which are disposable by the way), they are first sending me a return label for the incorrect items and then will ship the ones I ordered and paid for. I questioned whether they are restocking and reselling disposable food storage items that are returned and they ignored me. I certainly would not want to purchase something to hold food that I knew was in a customer's home and returned and resold. After this issue is fixed I will never order from them again. Also their shipping charges are incredible. I have paid less shipping for furniture than I have for a box of baking supplies from them.

i would never purchase anything from this place again! they ask for copies of your credit card after you have placed the order. i emailed saying i wasnt comfortable with that so i wanted to cancel then they charged $50 to my card! i take my business to global sugar art and other places.

I cancelled the order and they still proceeded to ship it out after 3 weeks' delay... would not give me refund. Definitely unbelievable that it's still in business. Order if you want to get screwed.

Let's start with the bad, they are not known for good customer service. They can be quite rude and unhelpful when looking for items. It is sad that if you are a new or unknown customer they don't seem to care. I do not care for the attitude you get. Now to the good, they do have most items you will need. You will pay a price for them a little higher than a chain store. They are a family owned buisness so they can not always price competativly. However they are very knowledgable and usaully have a solution to your problem. They are good about giving good advice and tips. Overall they really do need better attitudes, but they are the best cake and candy supply around.
