If there should be a shelter forced to be closed down, it is the Warren County Animal Shelter.
Since four of my pet felines were deliberately put down, aka killed. When there was a promise made by M. Schartzwalder (alleged Director), to me, that adoption would the avenue. I made a vow to tell everyone about th egregious course taken by them.
Only we has human beings can talk and speak for those that are wrongfully taken there and put to their death.
The egregious staff there makes every wrongful (Lies), excuse.
I have written to Senator Brown, State of Ohio. The current Governor.of Ohio as well.
I want to see every undeserving pet of careless maliciousness undertaken by Warren County Animal Shelter never to have to go there. .
Prison (Incarceration), is too good for those that work there.
President Obama has bailed out Wall Street, The Auto Industry, etc.
He needs to funnel money into every state of the United States of America, for paid vouchers, given to every pet owner to take it (them), to vetenarians within a/the voucher program.
The madness needs to end, wherein thousands are put to their death each year in of all countries, America. I am ashamed that I have to be a citizen, knowing that too many needless lives of pets are put to their deaths. and, that the Warren Couny Animal Sherlter, just keeps on killing!
I agree with the first person who wrote a review!! I think that the dog warden shouldnt just be a job it should be a wonderful oppritunity to help animals!! You just need patience and understanding to do the job!! Although the warren county humane society is a wonderful place and all the employees are very nice and genorious they sholuld just hire a new dog warden!!
I heard that the dog warden put a dog on the vicious dog list even though the dog did nothing but bark at another dog being walked by the owner in front of house because the police chief told him to. The dog showed no signs of viciousness, he has never attacked any other dog or human. He has played with my grandson numerous times. I believe that this is a terrible injustice from the warden and the police to threaten to put the dog down if the owner doesn't abide to what the police and warden tell him to do. The dog is a beautiful animal who deserves the enjoyment of being in his owners yard without the harassment of warden, neighbor, and police when all he is doing is being a dog barking at another dog he doesn't know. I would like to know if the other dog has been put on the vicious dog list as well seeing it barked right back and at the other dog who felt threatened in his own yard? I would like to know that there are still some people in this world who aren't influenced by others simply just because they are a police sergeant. I believe that this could be a story for the news media? Let the public decide if this dog is actually a vicious dog and should be put on the list! I am outraged at this outcome and I am so grateful that I nor my family live in Springboro or Warren County that such an outrageous trumped up charge could take the life of an innocent dog who has done nothing to deserve the treatment from a neighbor who simply doesn't like another neighbor and the police who think they are above simple humanity and can have a warden do their dirty deed. I am saddened by this from all sides and I hope that something changes before Springboro decides to put the innocent dog down before his time.
This is one of the best animal shelters in the midwest. The facility is spotless. They have separate areas for cats, dogs, puppies, kitties and smaller pets. The adoption fees are very reasonable and they do have "sales" on occassion. The prices include spay or neuter plus shots and a free trial of pet health insurance. They also include a certificate for a free vet checkup. They are a kill shelter which is bad but adopting a pet from here can save the life of an innocent animal.
PROS: clean, good price, good selection of animals
CONS: website not always up to date, kill shelter
