If you THINK you have a transmission problem, take it to Metro Transmission before going to anyone else. My 2002 Impala JUNKER was slamming into gear. I wasted thousands of dollars trying to fix this issue.

The first shop I went to told me I needed a rebuild. This did NOTHING. $1500
The next shop said I need transmission mounts and engine mounts. This did NOTHING. $300
The next shop said I needed CV joints. NOTHING. $200
Next shop, Catalytic convertor, NOTHING. $150
Next shop, Dealer mounts, not autozone mounts. They charged me for dealer parts, when I got the car back, I noticed a part number on the mounts that referenced to an AutoZone part! Got a complete refund and this fixed NOTHING.

Went to AAMCO, the transmission "experts" in Atlanta GA. They told me the problem was definitely inside the transmission, and it was going to cost $800 to break the transmission down, and up to $3000 for repairs.

I decided that I was going to take my car to one more place, and if they couldnt be honest and fix the problem, instead of selling me parts, I was going to junk the car.

I went to Metro Transmission because of their guarantee that if they did not fix the problem, there would be no charge. So, I dropped my car off with these guys, they spent 3 days troubleshooting (amazing because most places only spent 15 mins- 1 hour troubleshooting) and found out that there was a wire on my PCM that went bad causing the PCM to tell the transmission to stay in Max Pressure.

Only cost $250 to fix, and my car is running PERFECT! I would have saved thousands by going to these guys first.

TRUST THEM AND NO ONE ELSE! :) Seriously.

I run a small auto repair service in central Ohio.
I use these guys because they are honest, real people.
They're not out to gouge you - they believe there is enough honest business out there. They will be in business for a long time because the work is excellent and not over sold.
They have saved me hundreds of dollars because of their integrity.

I completely agree with the other review! The mechanics here are great! And very honest! They tell you exactly what needs to be done, and only that, no extras just to get the money! I trust them with my money and car! They are exeptional at what they do!!

Metro Transmissions has done a great job working on my car in the past. Their run a very honest operation (rare in the auto repair business!). They offer great work at great prices. I was able to have repair work done in a timely manner, and the work was done as promised at the price quoted. What more can you ask for in an auto repair company?
