I remember eating at Gullas at a very young age. Gulla's used to be the best place where you could go to enjoy a good meal. However, since the change of its ownership (I believe the son, now runs the restaurant), I no longer enjoy the food. I believe that the original recipe for Gulla's sauce was lost in the transition maybe. Also, their fries and gravy used to be homemade, and now its simply purchased frozen and keep fried (you can get better fries at Mcdonalds or Burger king). Also,if you step inside the restaurant, you can see that you can buy the same hotdogs and buns at Kroger for a much more affordable price.

I can remember eating at Gulla's from a very young age. I still enjoy their food. The best hotdogs around! The fish is really good too. The sauce is awesome. It's far from the fanciest place in the world but I really think it's part of it's charm. I wouldn't want to see it fancy.

This is a good hometown eatery. Although I have lived in the area all my life, for some reason I never ate a Gulla dog until last year. My sister was in town and she saw one of the owners of the establishment (who she had gone to high school with) and said we need to go there for lunch the next day. She said her husband was dying for the special hot dog sauce. We went the next day and the place was packed. It is on of those places were you always see someone you know. The food is good and the kids like the atmosphere. It has that old time feeling when you walk in. Nothing fancy, just keeping to the tradition of the small hometown feelin'. Looks kinda like a hole in the wall, but, aren't those the best places? Makes you want to go back for more! The prices are really cheap, too.

I've eaten their hot dogs since I was a kid. It was regarded as a special treat as my parents rarely ate out. They have very good hot dogs with a special sauce. There's not many places to sit but they do a very brisk carryout business. On Fridays, you can get a Coleman's fish sandwich which is very good & is well known in this area.

PROS: Pretty Good Cheap Food
CONS: Only Opened For Lunch

Gulla's has been a staple in the Ohio Valley forever, and they're still going strong. They've kept the business in the family and you get the same great service that you've been getting for years. The hotdogs and world-famous sauce are delicious. They also sell other lunch fare, like fries and gravy and hamburgers.
