Tommy's Pizza Inc

My dad has been taking the family here for years. When going to Ohio State, my father even worked here for a short while. Nothing much has changed. The same thin crust, Italian style pizza which has been duplicated for years, same building inside/out. But my most recent visits to Tommy's has bothered me.

My girlfriend & I visited over the weekend. Our red-headed server (who has waited on us before) was extremely rude. When my gf asked for a side of ranch dressing to go along with her pizza, she wanted to charge her a $1.00. When she mentioned we'd been going for years and had never been charged a fee before, she snapped back, "well the other servers must have not been doing there job then, cuz if it was me, I would have charged you!"

This left a bad taste in our mouth, literally. We are dedicated customers who have families who eat there regularly. She's not a new employee either.

When leaving, we did not tip her well. I think we left her .25 and my gf even thought THAT was too much. (She didn't even refill our drinks until we begged her, too...then she brought me back the wrong type of drink).

Upon paying at the cash register, our total was $54.62. The bill was only $26. So we had that corrected. When my gf got her credit card statement, it said $31. Puzzled, she called Tommy's Pizza and they told her they add 20% to your credit card bill (WITHOUT TELLING YOU) until it clears your account and if you don't have that money in your account at the time (the bill plus 20%) it will overdrawal your account and that's how people like us give them an earful!

So to conclude...Tommy's has GREAT pizza...but that's about it. The bathrooms are smaller than those on a DC-10 airliner, the parking is HORRIBLE, you may get billed more than the amount you agreed to (without anyone telling you), and the waitress may be a total bit**.

This my favorite pizza restaurant. Their thin crust pizza can't be duplicated, their sauce is not too spicy and they are always loaded with toppings!
