I absolutely love going here. It's very peaceful and quiet to get away from the madness and confusion that is Downtown Cleveland.

Smack in the middle of construction and mayhem, there is the most peaceful and quiet place in Cleveland. YOu can watch butterflies in a controlled area or out in nature's gardens. Waterfall gardens are the best place to read that novel you've been putting off.It is a great place to spend an afternoon. You can eat there too and the fresh made sandwich of the day is not to be missed.

Going to the Cleveland Botanical Garden is always a joy because you never know exactly what to expect. Of course there are flowers and what not but it?s the new flowers and the way that they?re arranged that takes you by surprise. Whenever you go to the Cleveland Botanical Garden make sure to bring a camera because there are definitely some memories to be made.

I've never had the chance to been to an actual tropical area before, but this gave me a good feel of it in a simulated environment. It's a two-story building with numerous trees, plants, and animals you only find in rainforests. They have exotic species of butterflies floating around and eating bananas and oranges left around. The plants are gorgeous, beautifully colored, and rare. For someone who's never seen the rainforest or tropics before, this is identical to the real thing!

The Botanical Gardens is a most inviting place to go. It has over 10-acres of world-class gardens. Their Hershey Childrens Garden is the first garden of it's kind in the state of Ohio. It's a fascinating place to go and so beautiful. They have a spectacular glass house with a 40 foot Fig Tree and 30 Foot Baobab tree. It houses well over 350 species. Enjoy the wonderful waterfall inside as well. It's a fantastic place to go to get rid of those 'winter blues'

These gardens and surrounding areas are breath taking! This is great for the whole family! The price is worth what the senses take in! I highly recommend visiting the gardens and stopping in to some of the other features in the area too! The parking is close and secure. The staff is courteous and kind.

Even the gift shop in this botanical garden building is exquisite!

The center includes indoor and outdoor settings. The inside is quite new and includes two opposite environments for you to experience. One is a desert environment with all kinds of unique succulents in a very dry-aired greenhouse type building. After visiting this very hot, dry room, you are guided into a rainforest environment filled with lush tropical plantings and flowers. Butterflies fly all around you and there is a huge waterfall which is a hit with the kids.

Outdoors there are several differently themed gardens. My family's favorite is the childrent's garden in the summer with plenty of watering cans for little ones to water the flowers and a fountain and tree house/koi pond inhabited by numerous resident frogs.

PROS: Great place to visit alone or with kids
CONS: none

This is a GREAT place! I love to bring my children to the Children's Gardens - it has alot of interactive things to do and it is a wonderful place to get beautiful pictures of your children. They have interactive programs and my daughter has learned so much appreciation for gardens and the environment. The gift shop is fun to find gifts for that hard to find person (a little pricey, but it is helping a good cause). Also, the summer festival they have in May (every other year) is a great way to spend a day! The admission is high, but you can buy plants at a great price there.

This is a pretty neat new addition to University Circle. It's a
mini-rainforest and tiny park rolled into one. The inside has a
sweltering area filled with trees, moths, iguanas, and bright flowers. I liked the outside with a Japanese garden. It's very peaceful and serene and usually not too crowded. Bring a digital camera, you can get a lot of nice pictures.

I love architecture, so I can really appreciate the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Their Japanese garden is phenomenal, from the arches, to the symmetrical yet oddly-shaped brick buildings, and the little laughing
Buddha statues really add a nice touch. The whole design of the trail is just so well done. I hope I can make something this beautifully designed one day.

I went to Botanical Gardens in December as part of a Christmas outing with the law firm I worked at. I am not sure if it was because it was December, but there was not a lot to see and do there. The exhibits that they did have up were beautiful and the place was decorated very nice for the holiday. However, in some of the rooms it was very hot in order to control the climate for the plants and flowers. I hope to go back this fall.

My husband and I visited this place this past summer. It has amazing gardens, built after famous architects and landscapers. The Japanese Garden was my favorite one. The gift shop has a great array of items, from pots, to t-shirts and handmade purses. I bought some wonderful pastry plates shaped as a flower, which have been a hit with all of my friends.

PROS: A cafe on site for a lunch with a view
CONS:

The Cleveland Botanical Gardens offers a bit of colorful tropical rainforest to the bleak Ohio climate. You're automatically greeted by thick, humid air, dark and light green ferns on humungous trees, rare flowers in bright colors, and tropical butterflies floating around. I've never traveled to the tropics, so this is a nice artificial environment to get the real effect. I liked the quiet Japanese garden outside, too - it's a shady walk through trees, with laughing Budda statues and wooden bridges.

PROS: Rare trees, flowers, and rainforest creatures
CONS: Don't plan a whole day around it

The beauty of nature surrounds and encompasses every one of your senses, from the moment you enter. The gardens are very well kept, and the staff is very frinedly, always willing to answer questions, guide you on your walk and give you a few trivia questions.
The facility also offers indoor / outdoor facilities for different events. This is a fantastic way to spend the day.

I was just shocked when I walked through the gardens. This place is absolutely breathtaking. I love to look at the flowers and designs to get ideas for my own garden and just to see the beauty of nature.

They have a lovely stone path to follow through an intimate maze of gardens outdoors. The new facility offers enjoyable indoor/outdoor accomodations for anything from corporate events to field trips to weddings.

From the moment you arrive, the beauty of nature surrounds and encompasses all your senses. Staff is standing around to answer questions, give you some trivia and generally guide your experience. I am now a member and very happy to support this Garden.
