Maries Pizza And Chicken

The food at Maries is not bad for the price but the service sucks!!!The staff is rude and do not know how to serve properly. I should not have to ask the waitress to bring the drink I ordered 10 minutes prior, after she has brought the salad and bread and her response was " oh yeah you might want that" Also when a server brings food out his cell phone should be turned off, not ringing in his pocket. And servers should not be white boy wanna be gangsta rap stars with tattoos up their arms and saggy ass shorts . This was last time we will patronize Marie's, the food is not worth the aggravation from the crappy service.

I went to Marie's in April of 2009. We had never been there and were anxious to try. Upon walking in we noticed a lot of people lining up by the hostess podium. Employee after employee walked by without seating us, finally by the time we got seated there were about 7 parties waiting in line behind the podium..just to put their name down.

The hostess who came up had quite an attitude, she asked for our name and most places take your last name, which I gave her, and she corrected me..."FIRST NAME?" Just very snotty like I was an idiot. I mean does it really matter enough to be rude and correct me? Just put a name down.

Their food is okay, the garlic bread is great..but their marinara sauce is horrible. VERY acidy. Needs sugar, or some garlic..something..the acid taste is almost unbearable. It is very obvious nobody there is tasting the sauce, cause I wouldn't let that leave my kitchen. I got a pasta sampler that had stuffed rigatoni in it, and for some reason the rigatoni tasted of nacho cheese, not sure if it was the filling or the pasta itself..but definitely some jalapeno flavors going on there which was unappealing with their sauce..everything else in the meal was normal but nacho? Very weird.

I might go back to try their pizza but if their sauce is the same then I won't return.

maries has great food wonderful pizza chicken you name it its great. carry out food always fresh and hot. wonderful value but service is nothing but the worst. i have been there for dinner and lunch and a variety of days and never have had good service. if you are looking for good food it is world class but if you want your drinks refilled you are going to the wrong place

this is by far the best pizza I've had in Ohio, I am a pizza connaisseur (sp?) and have searched the state (and parts of other states) for the best pizza, and lo and behold, it is in Wadsworth!!
whoever did the review saying it is expensive must only be used to buying the $5 pizzas from Little Caesar's. If you think a medium w/ 2 toppings for $10.50 that is big enough to fill 2 adults is alot, I don't know how you can afford to get online at all. But anyhow, their sausage is great, there cheese is great, their crust and sauce are all great. Who cares what the chef looks like?? As long as the pizza is consistently the best I've ever had, I don't care who serves it to me. I love this stuff. I have a fund just for Marie's pizza. It's the best!! P.s. if you're ever in Parma Heights, by the mall, check out ANTONIO'S.....it is the 2nd best in all of OH and has won many awards in the last 30 years.

This is a family owned restaurant that is located in historic downtown Wadsworth square.
Their business has increased so much that they are in the process of moving to a new building that they had built.
Their food is delicious and their prices are reasonable.
I have liked every thing I have eaten there form the antipasta salad to the pizza.
Give them a try. I think you will be well pleased.

This pizza is very very good, and you can see that by the price tag that comes along with it. The atmosphere is cruddy, and it kinda scares you if you happen to look in the kitchen, especially the chef. ehh But they are building a new restaurant in wadsworth, the north end, and hopefully it will be a little......cleaner.

PROS: great pizza
CONS: very dirty dining area

Marie's Pizza is delicious. It's hearty and thick and they are generous with their toppings. However, when we get Marie's, we usually pick it up. One trip to dine in the restaurant was all it took to keep us away from eating there again. The restaurant smells badly. We couldn't pinpoint the exact smell, like a cross between body odor and cheese, but it almost ruined the meal for us. When we arrived back home, we had to wash our jackets because they smelled like the restaurant. Like I said, the portions are great and the pizza and anti-pasta is delicious, but the dine-in area turns my stomach.
