Soup of the Day
by Mark B.
You Gotta love their soup of the day special!
Government Bailout Soup: $14,586.00
Have only visited once on the way to Kent State University ... the food was average, service was extremely show, but still fun place to visit at least once.

Mikes Place is a great restaurant. From the outside you can see the X-Wing, Bus, and Castle and you already know its not going to be your average sit down restaurant. Along with booths and tables, you can ask to be sat in an actual bus or castle that is hooked onto the restaurant. Walking through the restaurant is fun too, there is tons of memorabilia of everything you can think of! Children are seldom bored waiting for food looking at everything, and the also have a few arcade games to play. Their menu is extensive ranging from gyro's to the last time I checked aligator on the childrens menu (of course they are kidding, you really need to check out their menu to see what i mean!). You'll for sure get a few laughs after reading Mikes Place rules. If you are looking for somewhere to eat and are sick of the same restaurants I would definatly recommend Mikes Place for the whole family.

Mike's Place is a landmark in this area. Just reading the menu.. or the placemat, is worth the stop. They have something for everyone. From wonderful burgers to a HUGE assortment of sandwhichs, dinners, breakfasts, wings and pizza. They also have a very large beer selection and you can even buy a $1.00 "mystery beer."
Something to keep in mind. The food there is top-notch, but it doesn't come fast. Keep this in mind if you're taking youngsters. Also, avoid peak times, if at all possible.
They have specials during the week that are great values, give them a try!
PROS: Yummy, eccentric, quaint.
CONS: Slow.
