I recently purchased an engagement ring from them and it was a great experience. They were very friendly and helpful from start to finish! My fiancee and I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful family business.

I became a customer of Krombholz 8 years ago, and I have never bothered to go anywhere else since. Since It's a family-owned business, you get personal service, and they value you as a customer (unlike the big chain stores), and they remember who you are. They helped design my wife's engagement ring (OK, they designed, I approved), and she is absolutely thrilled with it. She constantly gets compliments on it, and I get a few "attaboys" as well.

I received an invite to a little shindig they had last Friday, and it was a lot of fun. Food, drinks, a live band, and artwork from a featured artist. It was pretty low-key, just hanging out, chatting, noshing a little bit and checking out some jewelry. Absolutely a different experience from the big chains. I'm told they will be doing this once a month, with different artists and bands, so I will definitely try to make it back there again.

Krombholz Jewelers is the best jewelery store in the city! I went there to get an engagement ring for my fiance and it was an awesome experience. Lee and Heather did everything to give me exactly the ring that my fiance wanted. We also went back to get our wedding bands and the experience was exactly the same! They treated us like we were royalty and answered all of our questions honestly. I cannot recommend Krombholz Jewelers enough!

My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Krombholz in September of 2008. It is more beautiful than I could have possibly fathomed and I have gotten constant compliments from family, friends and co-workers. Brad and everyone at Krobmholz was a joy to work with and their service superb. They always corresponded in a consistent and timely manner and produced a beautiful ring in the time frame that we requested. They worked with my fiance on creating a custom ring that we will enjoy a lifetime. After comparing this jeweler to many others that we visited, their experience/expertise in making custom orders far outweighed others we looked at. Their ability to customize orders allowed us to design the exact ring we were looking for but had not seen in other locations. I would highly recommend this business to others.

I recently purchased an engagement ring from Krumholtz in December '07. After looking at other local Cincinnati Jewlers I settled on Krumholtz due to the friendly, patient, down to earth staff. At other jewelers I felt intimidated as if my business was a dime a dozen. Not Here. Lee Krumholtz took the time to not only help guide my decision, but also educated me on diamond and jewelry details. At no point did I feel pressured or misinformed. I would reccomend this store to anyone looking for a quality engagment ring.

My experience with Lee Krombholz and his store Krombholz Jewelers couldn't have been better. His personal approach and attention to detail helped me find the engagement ring that my fiance and I truly love. He explained everything with great detail and each time I entered the store he remembered me by name. Many other establishments should look to his approach as a model as they help others in the jewelry buying process.

More big box and national chain stores are coming to town but Krombholz will transport you back to a time when family owned businesses cared about their customers instead of just the sale itself. Attentive professional staff, quality products and ZERO "low quality factor" like the big box chains. At Krombholz, you can still find quality merchandise at an affordable price point... Three generations of our family are regular customers!!!

In today's world of big box retailers, it is a pleasure to do business with a local business like Krombholz Jewelers. They can offer any jewelry item you can find anywhere else, at competitive prices, but their service orientation and knowledge really set them apart. I have a pretty limited budget for jewelry, but on the several occasions I've purchased from them, the team there has made me feel as welcome as if I was spending millions! Beautiful wrapping, complimentary beverages, a relaxed and comfortable setting - all make for a very pleasurable experience. Their custom design work is impressive as well, and definately makes Krombholz unique in our area. My husband had a piece created for me -- again, with a pretty limited budget - and they offered great ideas and produced a bracelet I'll treasure always. It is clear when you visit Krombholz that the staff loves what they do and has been doing it for a very long time. What a treat to find a store where the lines aren't long and the clerks aren't disinterested! Although they are tucked away on a back street in downtown Montgomery, they really aren't hard to find and definately worth the trip.

Krombholz Jewelers is fantastic. As a native Cincinnatian now living in Indy, Brad helped me to find the perfect diamond and setting in an absolute minimum number of visits to the store. Having researched the purchase in many publications, I found that Brad was able to help me decide which C's mattered most to me (WOW does color D look great!). My wife reminds me frequently how many compliments she receives about the look and style of her ring. I can only say that I owe it all to Krombholz.

Being raised out in the country, milking cows and bailing hay ,etc. was a life experience that taught a young man responsibility and self reliance. It did not however teach you about the finer things in life. Life has been good to me . Elli, Brad, and Lee have helped me express my love to family, congratulate friends, and even knock the edges off an ole country boy! I may not have the best taste in the world, but they sure help me fool everyone else into believing I do. I tell them my goal and they show me ideas. I think we make a real good team. I appreciate them making my life easy.

I would recommend custom jewelery to anyone, but I would insist that anyone wanting custom jewelery get it from Krombholz. I'd never been big on jewelery of any kind (i'm a guy), but during my first and latest custom jewelery project and especially after working with Krombholz, i confess that i was downright giddy. The feeling of having something unique, of getting exactly what you want, and of knowing that you had something to do with it are unbelievable.

I recently worked with Lee Krombholz to make an engagement ring for my now fiance. Lee took the time to understand exactly what i was hoping for, to explain to me the process of getting the ring constructed, and to ensure i had no unrealistic expectations. Then he created a 3D computer model of the design and worked with me to refine it to my liking.

Then, understanding my urgency (to get the ring in time for my planned proposal), the staff worked to get the ring finished by my deadline in spite of an ice storm and a power outage. They didn't promise to do this, mind you, but they delivered.

This is the part that i'm really amazed by. They did all of this without collecting a penny from me until i was satisfied and had the finished product! And the price was more than reasonable and right on par with what he told me to expect.

And satisfied doesn't begin to explain it. Neither my fiance nor i can stop looking at this ring.

After the birth of my son, I wanted a special piece to celebrate his arrival. I had no idea what I wanted. Krombholz walked me through the design process from start to finish and my piece is AMAZING. The design process was a very positive experience. I was able to show the designer (Lee) several items that I liked, but did not want a duplicate of, and he was able to generate a unique piece for me in a just a day or two. It completely fit my style and what I was looking for! He then worked with us to select stones, and not only did he bring in several rounds for us to view, but he took the time to educate us on what we should be looking for. Lee was able to stay within our budget, while still delivering the kind of piece we were looking for. At no time was I pressured to spend more, advised to go a different direction, or made to feel like I wasn't spending the amount of money needed to go through a process like this (which had happened to me at several other Cincinnati jewelers). Equally as important, the staff at Krombholz was very welcoming to our baby, who went with us to every visit. I can't stop looking in the mirror and showing off this gorgeous new piece that was created for me at Krombholz. I highly recommend them!

I am a designer with very demanding standards who recently had an engagement ring made by Lee at Krombholz Jewelers.

It was a very unusual and technically challenging design and Lee was not only unfazed but enjoyed the challenge. He consulted me at every stage of the process as I requested and was ever congenial and welcoming. It was clear that his primary goal was to render my vision as accurately as possible. The stones, the castings, the finish were all exceedingly well executed and exactly as I'd imagined which was no small feat.

The price for such careful workmanship was less than I'd anticipated and in fact was far less even than his original estimate. It is clear that they are not looking to gouge their customers. They were welll aware that I was expecting to pay more but they only charged me what they felt was a reasonable amount.

The store is very comfortable and I never felt in any way rushed even though I demanded a lot of time.

There was only one negative and I'm sorry to mar an otherwise perfect review but here it is: There is no dark chocolate in the complimentary candy bowl. That's it. That's the only bad thing I could think of to say.

The process, the service, the craftsmanship and the price all merit a 10 out of 10. I really couldn't imagine a better experience.
