When I walked into this shop, the stench of urine was overwhelming.
They also had this poor, pathetic looking squirrel monkey in a cage in the back of the store. The poor thing had barely any hair on it's tail. I'm going to make some phone calls to see if anything can be done about it. Plus, I've never seen puppies in aquariums before (they seemed to be OK, though).

Puppymill dogs DO get AKC papers. All that its required for AKC is for the parents to be purebred. It doesn't matter their health / temperment / etc. All AKC promises is that the dog isn't a MIXED breed (and even then it's questionable).
USDA inspection is a JOKE. Do a search yourself on USDA puppymill inspections. Even the humane society of the US will tell you they are completely inadequete.

I have had many puppies growing up. This is the first puppy I purchased from you. She is the best puppy I have ever owned. I read some of the previous reviews about your store. I decided to check up on the breeder that you purchased my puppy from. The reviews stating that you purchase your puppies from mills is ridiculous. Puppy mills do not hand out AKC (NOT AKA) papers. My breeder assured me that she is USDA inspected and offered to send me information about their breeding services. Everytime I enter your store I am greeted with a smile. Your groomer is terrific. I get many good comments on my puppies new do! For the person who accused you of purchasing from puppy mills. Is your dog sick? Just curious why you seem so dissatisfied? Thank you so much for bringing my puppy into my life. Oh and by the way I researched pricing on puppies and you were the most reasonable. Thank you again!!!

I was a huge fan of this local shop for years and like supporting local establishments. The owner is a really nice guy but and assured me his puppies weren't from mills... I believed him and purchased an overpriced Silky Terrier.

I later found out that he WAS purchased from one of the worst puppy mills in the country by his AKA papers. Please read my article on it.

everytime i am at kamms corner i go to the pet store and look around, i bought a cat from there over a year ago and i still have her the people there are so nice and i love seeing the dogs there walking around freely(but i dont believe they are from puppy mills!) anyways it is a great place to get a pet my uncle even bought a dog from there and they are doing great :-)

I bought a cute puppy from Kamms Plaza Pets in 1999. Shortly after I got involved in becoming a veterinary technician and decided to trace my dogs "history" / breeders. My dog had some personality issues including servere seperation anxiety. I traced all the information from Kamms plaza and found out where she was from and with 100% accuracy (in fact, a vet I worked for had BEEN to this puppymill as part of a protest). My dog bought from Kamms plaza was from ONE OF THE BIGGEST WORST PUPPY MILLS in Arkansas. Of course she had seperation anxiety- look at where the poor thing was born.

My dog from Kamms Plaza is DYING NOW from INHERITIED cancer caused DIRECTLY from being born in a puppymill to a mother / father who had to have had a HISTORY of this form of cancer.

I myself have bought 3 dogs at this store. I do not believe they are from puppy mills. They are too healthy and have continued to have great health. I have had no health issues and think it is wrong for people to get all fired up and say they are from puppy mills.....do you really know this for sure or are you just running your mouth?!?! Most breeders do this because I feel it takes away from their sales. I have since gotten a dog from a good breeder and it is not half the dog that I got from this pet store. I am glad the pups go here......at least I know the wonderful people who work there care for them. Thanks for everything ....Carol M

this is a local pet shop, that has pet supplies, dogs and cats, and offer grooming services.

Most of the time there is a good selection of cute puppies, however they are kind of expensive. Nice to look at tho. They offer a limited selection of pet supplies, at reasonable prices. I got my puppy a bone at a cheaper price than petsmart

My old dog had a few groomings there, she always came out nice and pretty, fluffy, with bows in her ears.

Most of the time the workers are nice, they leave you alone to browse and look at the puppies.

On the positive side, they have a lot of foods and toys for your pets. However, Kamms Plaza gets their animals from puppy mills (poor conditions for dogs to be in), so while it might be tempting to purchase from them (especially since the front window has the cute cats and dogs on display, making it really tempting to pick one up), your money goes towards & supports puppy mills. Go buy from the APL instead - their animals have been prescreened for diseases such as feline leukemia, anyway, preventing a heartbreak down the road.

I love Kamms Pet store. They always have a great selection of pets and pet products. They have a cute lil monkey in the back who loves to entertain. They are VERY clean here. It is nice to see puppys who dont have to sit in pee kennels all day. If you are looking for a place with tons of variety this is the place.

When you first see this shop in Kamm's plaza, you see the dogs and cats in the front window. I so wish pet stores didn't sell them, as they seem to come from puppy mills. I digressed, but the store is well stocked, you'll see a dog wandering the store as you shop. YOu can find many things there for all of your pets, in a clean, friendly shop.
