We got hooked on Dante's II in Worthington off of Lazelle years ago. This location has since closed and we have since moved from Worthington to Reynoldsburg. From time to time throughout the years my husband has drove out to Clintonville

Yum yum! This place has been a favorite of our family for many years now. Great pizza, laid-back atmosphere, good prices. Thumbs up every time.

Pros: pizza is excellent, so is the price.

Cons: closed on Sundays.

I moved out of the area for about 15 years. I used to get Dante's at least once a week, and when I moved back to Clintonville, I was SO happy to see that they were still there. They have a new sign out front. I liked the old one better, but that's my ONLY complaint about this place.

Flat out, their pizza is outstanding, and not just for the area, but for Columbus as a whole. That's saying a lot because there are LOT of places making good pizza here.

In any case, I think good pizza starts with the dough, and Dante's has this down pat. The dough they use for their food is beyond excellent, and something you don't find at everyday pizza shops. They serve up a medium/thin crust pizza. They use plenty of good quality cheese. Toppings are generous, and good quality. The prices are more than fair.

Dante's serves up amazing pizza, not just for those lucky enough to be near them, but it's some of best pizza in Columbus, better than Rotolo's, Panzera's and Tommy's. The only place I can think of that comes close is Iacono's on Kenny Road.

But I can't recommend Dante's highly enough, though my ONE major gripe is they don't take check/debit cards, so bring cash or a check.

This place has GREAT food.

Pros: Absolutely outstanding pizza and a great value. Nice people. The dough is amazing. Generous toppings. Pizza lovers heaven.

Cons: Don't take debit/check cards. I liked the old sign they had out front with the Pepsi symbol, but no biggie.

If you love thin-crust pizza, it is worth your time to go to Dante's; that's the only way to get it - they don't deliver (unless you are playing Bingo at St. Timothy's). The salad is to die for! The house dressing is a delicious combination of vinegar, EVOO and Italian spices. You won't find friendlier service anywhere - not even at home! And when you eat there, you don't have to go to Palmer's to get beer; you can get it with your meal. The pizza is even better Tuesday through Saturday - - when Pat is cooking. His food is never over- or under-done: always just right! The fortunate few who live in Clintonville all know Dante's. If you are a visitor staying anywhere between Ohio State and Dublin, it's a worthwhile trip you'll be glad you made. You just can't find any better.

Pros: Best thin crust pizza anywhere; $1 coupon from Kroger; no gimmicks

Cons: No delivery; can't say anything bad about Dante's
