Hot Dog Shoppe

I Wish there were others like them. I tried Dairy Queen and some others. Nothing comes even close. I left Warren when I was 9, but I still come back to see my family and to get a dozen of hot dogs. Sometimes, I have traveled 3 hours just so I can satisfy my craving. I even asked if they franchised, they said no because it is family owned. Well I guess it is a good thing. You can always count on them to feed a huge family for 30 bucks or less.

I have been going there since 1947 and cant wait to travel a 1000 miles next week to return to Mecca of Hot Dogs. The dogs, onions, buns, root beer and buttermilk make the trip worthwhile.

I have been eating the Chili Cheese Dogs with Chili Cheese Fries for more than 30 years. I now live outside of Atlanta and the Hot Dog Shoppe puts the Varsity to shame! The unique and delicious experience is a must. It is worth the drive. What you spend in gas you will save on your bill. My family of four eats all the want for around $12. The hand cut fries are as good as the dogs and the vintage counters with swivel seats and booths will take you back to a better time!

This place is outstanding! The best hot dogs in the WORLD. Every time I come here I get 2 chilli and cheese and 2 saurkraut and cheese dogs and I feel like I am in heaven. I am from Warren, but I am currently in the Navy, every time I come home I have to make a trip to the hot dog shoppe. When I get out of the military I hope to work at the hot dog shoppe while I attend college, I hope they give an employee discount! I cant not say enough good things about the hot dog shoppe I love everything about it. I Even love how the homeless come off the streets and can afford a good old hotdog and chilli. This place is great, I love you hot dog shoppe.
SEVEN DAYS WITHOUT A HOT DOG MAKES ONE WEAK!!!

The food was delicious and the prices outstanding. Only recommendation I would have is that they add cole slaw to their menu to add on top of the chili on the dogs to make a Great Hillbilly Hot Dog. The fries are all fresh cut. We did not add chili and cheese, as I definitely do not need anymore body fat to keep me warm. so we put vinegar on them and they were awesome. My husband loved the double cheeseburger, also. He usually likes mayo on his, which they do not have, but he said it was still very good.

I simply love the Hot Dog Shoppe. I've never been to any other city that has hot dogs and fries as good as the Hot Dog Shoppe. The food is sooo cheap that I am able to get something to eat any day no matter how broke I am that week.

Odd enough I don't eat hot dogs any other way, I won't eat them if anyone makes them. If they're not from the Hot Dog Shoppe, I simply won't eat them.

I don't know how they do it but their hot dogs are like no other!
When family that has moved away comes into town the first place they want to go is the Hot Dog Shoppe.
Friends who just moved here couldn't figure out what the big deal was-- after all its just a hot dog they said. That was bfore they tried it-- it's now one of their favrite places too.

Who that lives in warren doesnt love the good cheap food of this place? i wish they would expland and make this place bigger so when we go on a friday night im not waiting forever.yummy!

Their prices are so low, you will be able to try any three items on the menu and a drink and probably not break a ten! I suggest the chili cheese fries. Great decor, excellent customer service, love this place.

I have been going to the Hot Dog Shoppe since I was little. They have the BEST hot dogs, the BEST chili, the BEST red pop of ANY restaurant I have ever been to. Even though I now live over an hour away I still try to drive out there at least once a season to get my dogs. I even packaged some up to mail to relatives (overnight delivery thank you Fedex) who had moved out of state.

A Warren Ohio staple! 4 stars!
