    I want to take this opportunity to make you aware of my displeasure with service I received at the Sandusky Ohio Best Buys store. On June 25, 2007 I spent over $2600.00 at the Sandusky Best Buy store. In addition to a plasma television, surround sound, and a DVD player I purchased two Rocketfish HDMI cables, product #RF-G1138. These cables, while discounted due to being an open package, were supposed to include the original warranty. The package stated they have a limited lifetime warranty. Recently while unplugging the cable to move my television to a new stand the entire metal end of the Rocketfish HDMI cable pulled off and exposed 19 bare wires. This is obviously a defective product because there is no way the cable should have come apart as it did by pulling on the plastic end (the only way to unplug the cable without yanking on the cord itself). Rocketfish advised to return it to the place of purchase, Best Buys, for replacement. First the return clerk stated they had a 30 day return policy and it had to be returned to Rocketfish. I talked to someone in the television sales area and showed them the warranty on the package. He talked to a manager who agreed to replace the cable. I was satisfied up until the return clerk stated I would need to pay an additional $40.00 because I previously purchased an open package item. What kind of warranty is that? The cable, not the packaging is defective. To add insult to injury, the night the cable broke Best Buys was closed. I had to spend $38.00 at my local WalMart store so we could watch television. Now I'm supposed to pay an additional $40.00 to replace my lifetime warranted cable plus $38.00 for the temporary replacement. I am asking that Best Buys and Rocketfish honor their warrantee and replace this defective cable at no cost. I sent the above e-mail to Best Buys and Rockfish, who sells exclusively through Best Buys. I received an automated response that they will contact me in 3 days. It's been over that time and still no word from them. Apparently they have my money and now have no use for my future business. Just an update: Rocketfish refuses to warranty their defective product and sell exclusively through Best Buys Stores. Best Buys still has failed to respond to my complaint and obviously no longer wants my business.

    Our Best Buy has only been in Sandusky for about 1 year. They have a huge selection of CDs. They also have computers and a wide range of home theater systems. They even let youplay with them.
