Lots of petting animals, but too many kids for a lovely afternoon in teh country. School buses, nobody really watching kids, not enough staff. Fun picking pumpkins right in the field, but was disappointed in apple selection. Someone said they were not grown here because the frost killed most of the apples. Wish they wer more upfront about that. I can buy michigan apples at kroger's.

My family and I went to Irons Fruit Farm this past weekend to pick out our Halloween pumpkins. There were donkeys, llamas, goats, and sheep to pet. My daughters thought that was fantastic. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out our own and found several that looked great. At 39 cents a pound, they also seemed to be a good deal, especially since the hay ride was included in that price. There's also a 12 acre corn maze there, but with an 18-month old, we decided to forego that until next year, but it looked like a lot of fun!
