Dear Ms Wendy K
Thank you for your input in regards to your experience. We are very sorry that you feel this way and would like to discuss this matter with you more so that we can address this situation so please call the hospital and ask for our manager. We strive to provide the best in care for your companion. Our doctors would never try and schedule an unnecessary surgery just for money and we are very careful about doing any surgery on senior animals because of the risks involved. We also don't understand your last comment in regards to results and disputing charges. Our doctors call all our clients with the blood work results and this is usually done a day or two after a client was in. Again we appreciate bringing this to our attention and we are sorry about your experience. Dr Hart is amazing, we agree, and that is why she works 3 days a week at the hospital. Again we work very hard to provide the best medicine and compassion to all our clients and their family members.

Dr. Hart is amazing. Unfortunately she sold the business and only works there two days a week. I stayed with her through moving further away because of her love of animals. The new owners wanted to perform surgery on an 11 year old German Shepard for the money. We got an inky feeling and took her for a second opinion. She needed to go on prescription dog food and a heavier dose of antibiotics. No surgery necessary. How dare they want to risk my dogs life for a quick buck. Btw they wanted to charge $1400 for surgery, new vet was going to charge $350 until they saw test results and said it was unnecessary. Also a nightmare trying to get test results for blood, urine and x-rays. Only received after threatening to dispute charges. If I can see they have been done than they must not have been right.

Dr. Rebecca Hart and her staff are the BEST bar none. They are the most compassionate, most efficient, most dedicated people ever. Please people, remember there happen to be TWO Dr. Harts, so when you write a review, make sure you're which Dr. Hart you are writing about. Dr. Rebecca Hart and her staff in North Royalton are beyond reproach. I've never known a staff so dedicated to helping animals. I refuse to go anywhere else. Keep up the phenomenal work, Dr. Hart! We love you guys!!!

We started using Dr. Hart on the reccomendation of a friend...we had been petless for a few years and really didn't love our previous vet. We LOVE Dr. Hart! She has always been professional with us and loving with our pets. I do have to say yes she has a very busy office, but other then nuetering and spaying we have never had a long wait to get in. Her office staff has always been great to us also. I feel very fortunate to have found her and her staff.

SERIOUSLY!!!! I'm just wondering how she got the people to write good reviews! Smells like a pay off to me! This woman is unprofessional, dirty and money hungry! HELLO PEOPLE!!!! Don't you watch the news?? This is the same vet that gave a dog third degree burns 3 1/2 years ago, uses expired medication and charges YOU for pain medication that your suffering pet never gets! She has NUMEROUS complaints filed against her & she is still a vet!! If she was a medical Doctor she would have lost her license years ago! For those of you that "work" for her the fact that she made you write good reviews makes me sick!! Her Animal Hospital is FILTHY!! Guess what guys thats the REAL reason they don't let anyone back there! I insisted after they wanted to keep my puppy overnight and they refused! But, guess what?? I opened the door anyway...... DISGUSTING!!!! My co-worker kept taking her dog to the office on Memphis and didn't know why after 4 visits and hundreds of tests and dollars later her dog was getting sicker! I sent her to my vet. He did bloodwork and gave the dog medicine. 1 Vet visit, 1 test, 1 medication, $94=healthy dog!! Interesting isn't it????

My parents and my family of animals have been seeing Dr. Hart for years. I actually spent sometime working for her one summer in my younger days. Dr. Hart has the biggest heart in the industry!! She takes wonderful care of my parent's crew of misfits. And is absolutely wonderful especially when it comes to my twin terrors. She is the only vet who gets down on the floor to see by big dogs. It is always a pleasure to see her. Rates are beyond fair. Some times I may sit on hold, but if you have ever been behind the scenes at this place you would understand. The phone never stops ringing. The boarding is always packed. There is always something going on!! She never turns any one away ever! She has been through a lot with me and my family over the years from the passing of my Bision last year to the horrible accident with a car that took my Clairise! She is always wonderful. When Sugar died she cried with me. Sugar had been seeing Dr. Hart since she was a pup and was actually the reason why my mom ended up with Spanky who was sitting in her office waiting patiently for a home since he was dumped on her doorstep. The care and compassion this woman has for her patients and her job is AWESOME! I reccomend anyone with a dog or cat take them to her. Dr. Hart even offered to fix my bunny so I could keep a male and a female without population increase in my already full house; even though that is not something she would normally do. Ask me or my family -- and we have been to other vets who are outrageously priced and the care is soooooo substandard when it comes to comparison with Dr. Hart! -- there is no better any where out there!!!! Even my husband agrees who is a "new-be" to her care.

I have been using Dr. Hart for about ten years. I will never use another vet again. My first cat was 13 when he got really sick. Dr. Hart was very determined to get him on the road to health. While he did recover from being so sick, he lost function in his back legs within three months, and I had to put him down anyway. I remember how sad she was to do it. You'd think that a vet would have to be hardened to that, but it just showed her love of animals. My second cat went into renal failure about five years ago. While he has been living with chronic renal failure for about five years, his kidneys suddenly crashed a few months ago. While he was at her office for a week (and at her home with her over the weekend), he is now home and doing fantastic. We go back to check his numbers every month and a half, and he is doing great. She has never mislead me as to what it going on with him, and if I asked a direct question about the severity of his situation, she was honest and caring.

Yes, the staff can come across a little gruff sometimes, especially on the phone, but if you've ever sat in the office and watched these girls in action, you'd realize that they are very busy providing animals with quality care and working the desk and phones. Dr. Hart's office is always busy. If you want your animals to receive loving quality care, then be patient with the chaos. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my beloved pets.

I think you'll find this review a bit different than your typical review because I actually work for Dr Hart. I want to thank all of you for taking the time to comment on our services because the feedback can be eye opening. For all of you that love the care that Dr Hart provides-thank you. She goes above and beyond to deserve that kind of respect. For those of you who haven't had the experience with her that you had hoped, please try to realize that she has dedicated her life to you and the care of your pet. She has chosen to work 14 hours a day and never takes a day off even when she doesn't feel well. On top of that, she takes your critically ill pets home with her at night and gives up hours of sleep to care for them throughout the night. And, on top of that, she has an after hours pager service for emergencies so she has people waking her up.As you can imagine, people abuse this priveledge too and call with issues that are not emergencies. She's earned the right to have an off day now and then. She is first and foremost a Doctor, but she is also human with human limitations. I have never seen her treat any client with disrespect. For those of you who have had bad experiences with the staff, I apologize. I can only speak for myself and I will admit that I am not always personable. Unlike Dr Hart, I forget to try to put myself in your shoes. I sometimes don't realize that you come in concerned and afraid because your best friend is sick and you are worried. I forget that I too have been in that position with my own pets. All I can do is promise to try harder from now on. For the person who commented on the older woman that works in the morning, the one that told you to "move lady"...I feel for you. She is a big part of the reason why many of us are so irritable when you come in. That woman treats the whole staff like we are sub-human.We can bend over backwards to please her and she will still find something to get self righteous about. She leaves us "big" unprofessional, hand written notes basically telling us how stupid she thinks we all are. She talks to us like we're 5yrs old. Many times I have come into work in a good mood and before I even have my coat off I'm getting a tongue lashing for something. She talks down to everyone, but if someone finds a mistake that she herself has made and brings it to her attention-she'll cry! The way she treats clients, staff, and her own family will never change. The world will always revolve around her and she is never happy unless she is making someone else unhappy. To the person that was put on hold because of the cell phone call-that was her husband and he has cancer. If she treats him like that, you can imagine how she treats us. I wish Dr Hart would give all of us permission to treat her like she treats us just for a day so she can see how it feels, but she'd probably just cry all day.
I can't speak for my co-workers,but I know that I tend to let my personal problems affect how I treat others also and all I can promise is to try to make an effort to see past my own issues from now on and hopefully be able to provide you with better services.

I'm going to basically do two separate reviews here one for Dr. Hart herself and another for her staff.

Dr. Hart is a very caring and knowledgeable veterinarian and I have been very happy with the care that she has given my two dogs since we have started seeing her about 6 months ago. You can definitely see that her compassion for the animals is genuine. She is also very easy to talk to and willing to answer any and all questions without hesitation.

Her staff is another thing. It seems rare anyone there, especially the receptionist, seems to be in a good mood. In fact I have been treated very rudely on several occasions. I understand that things get stressful when it gets so busy at such a small office but you need to be professional enough to not let the clients see that. It's not just when they are busy either because I have called in the morning on a weekday and I've also been spoken to very curtly for asking a simple question or just scheduling an appointment! There's just no need for that in my opinion and I would hope that that kind of attitude wouldn't translate over to the care of the animals. It has made me consider seeing another vet but I really do feel that Dr. Hart is giving my dogs top notch care.

I have been taking my animals all 3 dogs and 3 cats to Dr. Hart for years. And I would not TRUST my animals to any other vet! Yes she is busy and sometimes you have to wait, but when you have those prices and such good care you will have that. She ALWAYS has shown gentle care towards my animals even when they aren't beening so friendly to her!

Dr. Hart has been a wonderful veternarian that our family has used for 10+ years. She has always been very thourough with all of my dogs over the years.. She is very knowledgable and her staff have always been very helpful. If I call her office with questions she always returns my call the same day. I can't say enough good things about her. I have referred other families to her as well and everyone has been very pleased with her and her staff!!!

I was looking for a Vet for my 7 month old puppy. I had been referred to Dr Hart's Animal Hospital so I called to get an idea about pricing. The woman who answered the telephone was very rude and cold. She stated that since we would be new to the practice, we would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for an appointment, as their current clients come first and maybe we should look elsewhere. Thank goodness I didn't waste any money on Dr Hart!. I sure hope the doctor knows how poorly her staff is treating people calling into her practice. I wouldn't give this office any rating at all!

After years of trying several veterinary clinics around the Cleveland area, we finally found Dr. Hart.
We have run the gamut, from unsanitary chop shops to ridiculously priced spa clinics.
It was our friends' high praise of Dr. Hart that initially led us to take our beloved dog to Dr. Hart, for her consultation and recommendation for treatment options for oral osteomelanoma. At first meeting, Dr. Hart sat face to face with our 90 pound rottweiler/ lab, and proceeded to poke round his mouth. I knew right then, that this was our vet.
We were advised to follow up with an oncologist. The radiation treatments saved our dog's life. Now, more than a year later,
our aging boy immediately lost function and mobility in his hindquarters. A paraplegic 90 pound rottweiler without bowel or bladder control is a frightening prospect. Especially when the front half is still our alert boy who we love so much.
Dr. Hart suggested that steroids may reduce inflammation and pressure affecting spinal cord function. After a gut-wrenching and sleepless week of being peed on, pooped on, carrying our not-so-little boy outside, working his legs, laundry and floor washing round the clock... we are now seeing marked improvement in his sensation and noticeable improvement in his muscular coordination. I believe that Dr. Hart has helped to save my best friend's life, twice.

I have been going to Dr Hart for over 8 years now. I do not have one complaint. Dr Hart is always friendly and kind. Takes her time to answer all of your questions. My dog was recently very sick and Dr Hart and her staff were wonderful. My family and I can not give enough thanks. She called every day to check and see how things were going until the last breath my dog took. Where are you going to find someone that cares that much? The staff all knew my dog by name and gave her kisses and love until her last breath. I would highly recommend her. As for the negative reviews.... people are busy.....when I go to the doctor no one smiles at me.. I am just another number so boo on you.

I went to Dr.Hart's Animal Clinic and it was Sunday Morning June 20th at 1:00am.
I had both of my 4 month old mountain curs that was very lathargic and sick. They examined them and found out that they both had fevers and some form of Parvo after doing tests and that they would have to stay there for treatments.I was scared of loosing them after hearing the news but, Dr.Hart and her Staff reassured me and my family that they would take care of them and with hope they would come out of it.
I let her know of my financial crisis and she still told me that they would work with me on a payment plan and that they are not going to give them any less treatment because of this.
I left there and for the next few days I called every 2 hours checking up on there progress and I appologized to the staff for being such a pain but they never was disrespectfull or mean. They understood that these dogs are our family members and we was worried. Telling me they didnt mind that we could call any time that we felt.
By the time Monday night June 21st came Toby really wasnt pulling out of it and i told them if they was suffering that I want the right thing done even though my heart was breaking inside because I knew i couldnt stand loosing another dog (We had to put my 20 yr old dog down just 3 weeks earlier). And that Marley is getting worse now also.
Dr.Hart was up front with me about everything and very hopefull still. She and her staff still was not willing to give up that easy and told me to give it more time. By this time I have had many sleepless nights worrying and crying. Not knowing their outcome all together.
On Thursday morning, I got a phone call at 9:30am and was told that Toby was pulling up out of it and starting to come around, while Marley is having diarreah and throwing up worms. Now I am concerned and wondering if he will pull through also.
Still Dr.Hart and Staff was not giving up.
Then Thursday night (early Friday morning) I called and it was good news Toby is better and Marley is coming around a little but still very lathargic.
I was so happy knowing that it was coming out of them and it was coming close for them to come home.
So, after calling all this time I make my Friday morning 9:00am call and they tell me finally I can pick Toby up that night but Marley still needed a few more nights to make sure he is clear of this.
I get up there right away and they bring Toby out from back and he is jumping on me and licking all over my face. It was a happy reunion but I still have concerns about Marley. So I ask them again about him and they said he is holding on and getting better but it is going to be slow.
I call all the time and then on Sunday June 28th they tell me that he is doing great and he comes home tomorrow.
They both will be on meds for a week but if it wasn't for the work and kind hearts of Dr.Hart and her Staff, I know it would of been a diffrent outcome.
So I would like to Thank Dr.Hart and Her Staff from the bottom of our heart a sincere and deepest Thank-You. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't of had to be able to keep our family member safe.
And One day I would like to meet you all personally to say Thank-You!!!!
Sincerly,

I really like taking my 2 dogs and cat to Dr. Hart. She is always warm and welcoming. She does a superb job when it comes to my mean cat. My cat needs to be sedated so she can shave off her hair and Dr. Hart does a wonderful job with her. I'm always pleased when I pick my cat up. And so is my cat. Dr. Harts rates are very very fair.. I've called around and the quotes I got were totally outrageous. Dr. Hart is a wonderful, caring vet. I even recommended her to my friend who has 3 dogs. I will always go to Dr. Hart with my pets.. Never will I change. Denise Tenorio

I have been taking all my pets to Dr. Hart for the past 13 yrs. In response to the reviewer that thought the staff was unfriendly, what you are mistaking for lack of friendliness is just being very busy. They are super busy, but do a very thorough job. If they were to take the time to stop and chat with each pet owner, they would not have the time to care for the many animals they see each day.

Dr Hart has been sensitive and caring to my animals. She will give advice and take the time needed to correctly diagnose the problem. Several of my friends take their animals to Dr Hart and are very appreciative that they have her as a vet.

I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. If I were ever to move, I feel it would be tough to find anyone who compares with them. Accept the fact that they are busy and very business- like and will give your pet the benefit of having a very competent place to go when they are ill. (The DNA testing is very accurate, btw. I am a molecular biologist and can tell you that there is no better way to determine the genetic roots of your dog.)

I went to Dr. Hart because of the rave reviews i read when I Googled Vet clinics. I went out of my way to take our stray adolescent dog to see her. I was not impressed at all and frankly, I was very disappointed. Right off the bat I was very surprised at the lack of emotion in the staff. Me and doggy were the only ones in the office...and we had never been there before so we were a new face....yet no smiles. No smiles from the the tech or even the doctor as they walked in and out of the waiting room. Not even so much as a hello....slight smile....not even eye contact. Here we are....NEW patient, cute doggy and Not a single reaction. I made a comment to the receptionist (who was the friendliest out of the bunch) about how ""Nobody seems very happy in this place"". She looked at me and said they were just busy...well I don't see anyone else or hear barking....whatever. Never too busy to smile .... just once even. Gosh....Say hi to the dog even. I even made a comment to the tech but she was oblivious. The doctor was fast, not really loving toward my puppy and did not take the time to explain much. Lovely. And this is why I drove over 10 miles past other Vet clinics? The doctor did not know much about dog breeds....just saying ""He could be anything' and just wanted me to buy the inaccurate DNA test. How about a ""Guess""? I asked her 3 times.... Thanks a lot. She didn't have much to say about anything really. She has a Doctorate in animals I learned absolutely nothing that I didn't already know. And as to the asthetics? Dr Hart had very dirty fingernails for one....and checked my dogs testes and never once washed her hands or used a no rinse soap. I got the bare necessities and we left. I will pay for my new dog to get a quality assessment somewhere else. Sadly disappointed.

Pros: None I can think of

Cons: Unfriendly atmosphere, Unprofessional

I went to Dr. Hart because of the rave reviews i read when I Googled Vet clinics. I did see 1 or 2 negative but it seemed the positive outweighed them....so I disregareded what they had to say. Well, I TOTALLY AGREE with the negative reviews. I went out of my way to take our stray adolescent dog to see her. I was not impressed at all and frankly, I was very disappointed. Dr. Hart IS THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. AND BELIEVE ME I HAVE BEEN TO A FEW. I'm not saying there is not good vets out there, But when I found Dr. Hart it was a Godsend. Every one makes mistakes and things don't always go as the Animal Parent would like for them to go.....But that happens everywhere even if your a Millionaire,or want people to think you are, and think high end facilities and fees. make for a better Vet... NOT !!!... Been there done that..,Not the Millionaire part, but I am Ashamed to admit the other... Myself, Husband, Little Clancy and Zoe, finally found a Dr. who fits the Bill in Every Way...Dr Hart is up front with the needs and options you have,.Gets back to you with a follow up call... Returns Pages in an emergency..Will help you, the best she can over the phone if you cant get to the hospital or are out of town.... And the Fees... are the Fairest that I have come across in my lifetime dealing with Vets.. There is NOTHING that could make me Change VETS.

Dr Hart and her staff are truly there for your pet. My aged cat developed early kidney disease. Together, we discussed a plan of action and it is working very well and it's been a year already. She is wonderful for a phone consult when necessary, if for no other reason than to set your mind at ease. There is no pressure and her prices are reasonable compared to other costs that I've heard and seen discussed on line.

Her staff has been very good for the most part. One lady can be a little gruff, but has never been rude or anything.

I did see her associate vet on a Saturday for my other cat who needed an xray due to coughing. She diagnosed it as respiratory, got the meds and she got better right away. She was OK, but I LOVE Dr Hart and highly recommend her. Dr Hart does need a break once in awhile, and if Dr Hart trusts her associate, then we should too.

I took my cat to Dr. Riley in North Royalton to have a front de-claw and didn't think to ask how much it was going to cost me - probably around $50 I figured. WRONG.

They did no pre-op blood work, no post-op medications. All they did was the front declaw - $130.00!!! And the receptionist laughed at me when I had to give her my child support card with $9.83 on it because I only had $120.17 on me.

I have been bringing pets to Dr. Rebecca Hart for many years and was always impressed with her kindness, thoroughness, and expertise. I took my dog to a different vet through the recommendation of a friend. The other vet couldn't do anything to help my dog and mis-diagnosed her for three months! The dog died before I could bring her to Dr. Hart. My friend is now switching to Dr. Hart as well. NEVER will I ever go to another vet. If Dr. Hart ever retires or stops practicing I'm going to have to stop having pets!

A very short note to tell everyone that Dr. Hart is a genuinem caring, loving, attentive vet. On two occasions now she has taken my pets in for an appointment at a very short notice, because I was stressed and concerned for their health. One evening everyone had gone home and she was still there and told me to bring my dog in, who had become ill that day. She assured me everything would be ok and I felt like she was also treating me!! Both times she was right. She treated my wonderful animals and they were happy and healthy in a short time. I would suggest that if you care for your pet in a loving way and consider them to be a part of your family, you should make Dr. Hart your family's vet. She is a blessing to all of our animals!

I have been going to Dr. Hart in NORTH ROYALTON for many years now. She's treated every cat and dog I've owned and even made a rare exception for our rats. She's honest and genuine, and not in it for the $$. Now, staff on the other hand, I've had varied experiences. But I live with it and get to the doctor herself and we're good. Most of the time the staff is great. You can't beat the effort and educated experience you get with Dr. Hart. Sometimes getting an appointment can be difficult so be aware, think ahead if at all possible. Don't know if it's still this way, but make sure when you make your appointment it's FOR Dr. Hart. At one time there was another lady there on Saturdays helping out....didn't care for that experience at ALL. Dr. Hart is the most knowledgeable vet I've come across, and most genuine. Tells you how it is. I trust her opinion and care wholeheartedly. Not the fanciest vet office in town, but certainly top notch care.

I want to write to everybody who is an animal lover . . Let me tell you about Dr. Hart. I have never met a more loving, caring, and sympathetic doctor who cares for the animals in a loving way. She also cares for the pets owners. I had a cocker spaniel who was not the best behaved dog. He would get aggressive and he would bite. But Dr. Hart knew how much we loved him and helped us come up with a solution that we both agreed on.
He was the best dog for the last years of his life. He became ill with a heart problem and I know Dr. Hart did everything in her power to make him comfortable and to prolong his life. She told us the truth of what would happen to him and how to deal with it. As for her staff I have always found them very helpful and very friendly. One woman who has been with Dr. Hart for as long as I can remember is very affectionate with the animals and calls them by name. She was very helpful with any question I would have or she made sure that Dr. Hart would call me back. For the 10 years I went there she felt like an old friend. I have had a call from Dr. Hart in the evening and she would still be at the hospital taking care of an animal that she was worried about. Now that is dedication.
I never worried when I board my dog there. The facilities were always clean and my dog was always taken good care of. When I get another dog, you can be sure that I will have Dr. Hart take care of him, because I would want that animal to have the same loving care.

Please do not confuse Dr. Rebecca Hart who is a wonderful and caring vet in North Royalton with the bad name of Dr. Lisa Hart who has been in the news recently. Dr. Rebecca Hart has only one office in North Royalton on Akins road and is not affiliated or related to the Dr. Lisa Hart. Dr. Rebecca Hart has a very busy practice with loyal and happy clients. She ALWAYS cares for her patients as if they were her own. I would trust all of my precious babies with Dr. Rebecca Hart and have for many years.

I have been going to Dr. Hart for quite some time. I always enjoyed her, not only was she good to my animals, she was very friendly with me. I have even referred friends and family to go to her. Then I brought my dog in to see her in January, she was not as friendly as normal-she seemed distracted. I figured she was simply tired, and I was thankful that she has squeezed me in. A lady who has worked there for as long as I have been going received a call on her cell-phone. She had me wait while she screamed at the person on the other line for three minutes. I found this to be very inappropriate and unprofessional. Even after she hung up I found that her bad mood was then shifted in my direction. I had to schedule an appointment and she said she didn't have time and that I would have to call in for one. There was no one in the waiting room. How long can that take? I was there. I left in a rotten mood, but thought maybe they were having a bad day. I recently went again in April with my cat. I was greeted by the always friendly receptionist, whom I also know by first name. I told her about the last visit and how I was a little disappointed. She confirmed that it was stress related. While waiting for Dr. Hart, I saw the older lady, she was walking a dog and I was slightly in her path. Instead of saying excuse me she said, "move lady, get out of my way" I looked at her slightly shocked and excused myself. Manners are not difficult. If you don't like people, you shouldn't work with them. She needs to work on her at work hospitality. Dr. Hart did not ask how I was doing, and didn't put much interest in my cat. I have known her to be a cat lover, but she didn't fully answer my questions, she didn't ask many herself either. I was in and out of her office in less than five minutes. I hope that this is not going to be a permanent issue. If it happens again I will be forced to change vets.

In the past 5 years I have brought several pets to Dr. Hart and she has always been the greatest. I love the fact that I can trust her whole heartily with any of my pets. I can call her at any time (reasonable) and always get a quick response from her on weather it is a emergency or can wait till the next day. When I had to put my first ever dog down she was there for us. I can never say enough wonderful stuff to her or her staff. I drive 45 minutes to get to her now. The day I move to far away will be a sad day. :(

Dr hart has always given here time and experience to help out, even if it is just to a worried pet mom. I have brought her 9 animals in the past two years and she has met every one of their needs. She also is a realist, she will tell you whether something is needed or not. Some vets I have been to will pile up the charges and do as many tests you allow for the money. He office staff is great. They are so gentle with my babies. We love Dr hart!

Dr. Hart is a very wonderful and caring person. She will sit with you and try to figure out what is the best solution for you and your pet. You can see the genuine concern she has for all of her patients. The staff here is also very friendly and helpful. I have heard many times from other customers how wonderful she is and how she has helped them through some tough and scary times. If you are looking for a vet, she really is an awesome doctor!
