Been with Merion Dental for well over a decade. There have been multiple times I've gone here to get a cleaning, with no symptomology whatsoever/no issues, and somehow needed a filling of some sort. Come in feeling great and leave in pain. This has happened multiple times now. One time they put in a filling/resin that caused an allergic reaction for about two weeks (pain/sensitivity) before finally taking out the old filling and putting in a new type of resin filling. The pain went away immediately. Two years later with a different dentist at Merion Village, I go in for a routine cleaning with no pain or issues. Again they recommend more fillings and the put new fillings in... with the same resin/filling that I was allergic to in years past!!! They forgot to look at their case notes from the past. I've been living a dentistry nightmare ever since with two root canals on teeth that were perfectly fine and living with severe pain for 3.5 weeks and still going. The staff doesn't know what to do to stop the infection below the root canals and are continuing to charge me for follow up visits asking for pain control. At which time they sometimes will provide medication for pain and other times wont. Horrendous nightmare of negligence. I just hope they take this filling I'm allergic to ASAP and drop these hundreds of dollars they're charging me for the condition they've created. Wow what a nightmare. I've been with these guys for 13 years. I hope they make my mouth normal and stop billing me for the hell they've put me through.

I've been a long time patient of Merion Village and I must say I have always had a fantastic experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the office is clean and relaxing and the over all care is fabulous. I recommend them to all my friends.

I must say, I hadn't been to a dentist in close to 10 years (give me a break, I was in college for awhile and without dental insurance for a long time). I was very nervous about going to a dentist but managed to find this one online with quite a few good reviews.

When I went in for x-rays & a general cleaning, I was very worried of having a scolding assistant or dentist but had nothing of the sort. In fact quite the opposite. Not only were they kind and informative but also very forgiving of the long lapse of time between then and my last visit. When I had follow-up visits to take care of my few cavities, it only took a few hours during which I was given a blanket (I was a little cold), as well as a headset combination so that I could actually watch a movie while they worked on my teeth. Not only that but they were very informative of what they were doing and always were making sure I was still comfortable and not feeling any pain. In fact, even getting 4 cavities + novacaine done - it was the least pain I have every felt in any dentist's office. Incredible!!! This place is by far & away an amazing dental clinic.

Granted, I think that they are perhaps a little more expensive than the average dentist, but then again I don't have a good running tally of another dentist to speak 100% knowledgably on that. Overall, I would definitely pay any extra just to have these great people working on my teeth over an average dental clinic.

I won't go into the details on the outside appearance of the office (it is amazing!) as so many others have written about that and I hardly think that it alone would make me choose a dental office.

Dr Vesha and his staff are great. As a patient I feel very informed about my dental options and the total affect on my total health. I've recommended Dr. Vesha to amany of my friends already. The staff at Merion Village is great to work with!

Merion Village Dental is an office for people who like to relax when at the Dentist. They have fresh baked cookies when you walk in the door, starbucks coffe, an indoor waterfall (thats right, I said indoor), skylights in almost all their rooms, movie glasses to watch while having a long procedure done, parafin wax hand dips for people like me that dont have a lot of time to pamper themselves and the nicest people to help make your experience the best it can be! I really like this office because they make me feel like top priority and help me with any questions I may have. I appereciate all the time and patience they had with me especially since I am afraid of going to the dentist (until now that is). I would give this office a 11+ on a scale of 1-10!

I hadn't been to a dentist in about 3 1/2 years. I knew I had let things go a little in my mouth and I was slightly embarassed to see a dentist. I was very happy when my hygienist didn't scold me for what I have obviously neglected. She was very helpful and explained what needed to be done on a few teeth that had broken. She took pictures (NO CHARGE!!) to help me get a better understanding of what was wrong. The dentist was equally as nice and very informative. He took time to answer my questions and I never felt rushed. On my way out the office staff took the time to go over all the costs with me. No hidden charges here! Everything was explained to me--what my insurance would pay, what my portion would be, payment options. I felt at ease when I left the office. I will never go 3 years without seeing a dentist again!

A first class dental office! My first visit with this office was to have my teeth cleaned. My hygienist was very thorough and I felt like I actually got a good cleaning. I brought my x-rays with me from my old dental office so I didn't need to have them taken again. The hygienist also took oral photos of my teeth which was displayed on the TV in front of me. This was great. I was able to see exactly what she and the doctors were talking about when they informed me of the treatment I would need. Since I am afraid of needles and needed a few fillings, I was pleased to find out that this office is able to do fillings with a laser (which means no shots!). From start to finish I had a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for the ideal dental experience.

PROS: Staff was very professional and helpful
      CONS: None

my friend has a serioud fear of dentists. she requested that she get put out for a very minor procedure and they said that getting the anesthesia was actually more of a higher risk than the procedure itself. her dentisit didnt want to give it to her ans said she would be fine with novicaine. but she was persistent so they referred her to the head company to sign legal documents for this! it seems like a bigger pain to get work done with them rather just go somewhere else!

First visit was supposed to be a cleaning, what I got instead was xrays, digital pictures of my teeth, and no cleaning for a mere $200+.
Then my consultation told me I needed to pay about $4500 in out of pocket costs to make the needed dental repairs. The good news they offer a payment plan, but they really frowned on it. Why offer it and then give me a sour look about it?
After trimming down what they wanted to do vs what I could afford right now - I tried to schedule dental work using an email address provided on a business card by my "treatment coordinator" at this dental office.
A week without response, I started to call, and still no response, after a 2nd not so nice message on their voicemail box, the office manager finally called back. She claimed someone called - its amazing because there was nothing on my caller-id from this office. (They must have used the mystery, invisible #).
This office seems to refer patients to other expensive offices - I needed a root canal, I would think they would realize your insurance company would not be compatible with their recommendation. But instead of reaching out with that extra level of patient/dentist customer service. They do not.
Upon calling Central Ohio Endodontics, I found they did not accept my insurance. I felt like I was starting at the beginning again, bascially taking either COE's recommedations or turning back to the yellow pages. It became a wild goose chase, and finally Westerville Endodontics saved the day.

On the upside, the office is nice, with skylights, and a water feature inside, and the receptionist is very nice. Outside of the office is a man-made stream and bunches of flowers. Which makes this office stand apart from a normal dentist office however, I have to wonder if they were planning to build a new wing to the office with my dental needs.

PROS: Nice office (outside and inside), skylights, waterwall
CONS: EXPENSIVE, does not respond to email, or calls
