Cathy's House is a 3/4 way sober house for men. Requirements for living at Cathy's are maintaining sobriety, have or be willing to obtain a job, do a daily chore, go to an AA meeting every day, get an AA Sponsor and work the 12 steps. The garage behind Cathy's House has been coverted to a meeting room for 15 AA meetings per week. If you are new and would like to try an AA meeting, there are many men and women with lengthy sobriety that attend the meetings. If you are unsure and just need to talk to another alcoholic, stop by and talk to one of the guys at the house. Or call the house at 330-721-9901. PLEASE NOTE: CATHY'S HOUSE IS NOT RELATED TO ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS. A.A. MEETINGS ARE HELD IN THE MEETING ROOM BEHIND THE HOUSE.

Meetings are scheduled as followed:
Sunday: 9AM
Monday: 10AM, 12 Noon and 7PM.
Tuesday: 12 Noon and 6:30 PM.
Wednesday: 6:45 AM, 12 Noon and 7 PM.
Thursday: 12 Noon and 7PM.
Friday: 12 Noon and 7:30 PM.
Saturday: 2PM and 7PM.

The nice thing about Cathy's House and it's meetings is that they are very relaxed. You can't ask a dumb question or say something that is wrong. Those that attend welcome new members and want to help the new member the way they were helped when they were new. Living at Cathy's was one of the best experiences of my life. Never living in a 10-12 man household and being in my 30's scared me a little. But the support and tolerance shown by other house members is what made things work for me this time. I came to Cathy's after some time in jail not knowing how I would maintain sobriety. The guys in the house and those that attend meetings showed me how and I have been sober for two and a half years. If you think you may have a problem, know you have a problem or have some sobriety and want to help some new people, Cathy's is the place to be in Medina!!

Pros: Lots of help, close to dowtown and W. Smith factories, W/D in basement, Central Air, Dishwasher, loft with pool table, 4 bathrooms.

Cons: Parking, Noon meetings have limited parking due to Liberty Plaza's parking and the factory next door.
