Sunrise Inn

Recently my mom and I took my kids to Sunrise for lunch. I couldn't help but notice how filthy of an atmosphere it was. When my son got his ranch wings, they were some of the best we've ever had...until he found a white curly hair wrapped around one. Mind you not one of us 4 have that. I mentioned it to the waitress when she asked how everything was and she mockingly stated, "well that's funny because the cook is completely bald, he even shaves his arms!" And that was all there was to it. I wanted to ask her if it ever occurred to her the possibility of it flying in there in transit from the kitchen to the dining area. I wanted to point out to her the filthy eating environment. However, she clearly had the mind set it was not her fault nor her problem. So I get on line to complain to the owner however, there is NO such place to do so! My ONLY choice was to give them a poor review for the rest of the public eyes in hopes to reach them some how this way. It is a shame because their food is wonderful. But unfortunately due to the filth and lack of customer satisfaction we will no longer go here. What decent place does not have a form of customer comment/complaint in this day in age? With the economy struggling and too many other places fighting for our very limited finances in Warren, Ohio, who can afford to be so lax in their customer care? Brianna

I have gone to Sunrise for well over 7 years now, at least 2 to 3 times a month. I honestly do not know what the bad reviews regarding service are all about. I agree with one of the other reviews that it seems that it would be hard to keep track who comes in especially when it is busy, but I have never had an issue with bad service.

The waitresses do seem extremely busy at times and there have been plenty of times I thought that they could use extra help during busier hours such as Friday or Saturday nights.

I have found the waitresses to be extremely friendly and trying their "darndest" for lack of a better word to deliver great service.

The food is fabulous and if you are a hot wing lover such as myself then Sunrise is the place to go. They have a wide range of various flavors of wings and very cheap prices, they are superb as well as their regular chicken as well! Their prime rib on Sunday also is to die for and very good prices!

I love the home town atmosphere of this superb restaurant and plan to continue going on a regular basis for years to come!

i've read the previous reviews and have a different opinion. as far as the pizza goes at times it can be a little inconsistent because the type of pizza they make is not the standard canned sauce and run through an automated oven.it goes into a deck oven which the pizza is taken out of it determined by whoever works their oven. it doesn't just pop out of a conveyor oven so at times,yes,the pizza can be a little crisp or not one way or the other.i still find it the best pizza in town.they also make their own sauce.my son worked there for a while. whoever commented about the veal is dead wrong. there is a difference between pork and veal.they just don't know the difference.in closing ,anywhere i have gone i can find a negative comment to make even at warren's finest it's just the nature of the business. i like it.

I have been going to Sunrise Inn for years and lately I have been very disappointed. The time before last we ordered take-out for lunch from there, the lettuce in my salad was wilted and the last time we ordered take-out for lunch from there, they put my salad in a container that looked like it had cooking grease baked on it for years before they used it. I even noticed dried pizza sauce on it. This was all on the inside of the container. It was unbelievable. For a salad that costs $8.49, it was not worth the money.

In the past 7 months I have witnessed the male employee in the back making pizzas throw a temper tantrum with coworkers and in front of customers. the first time I had already waited 1 1/2 hr for a to go pizza order...the pizza was not made yet when i got there.Again on Jan 26,2008 , after an 1hr 15 min wait for my pizza, I arrived and he again screams at coworker saying he didn't know when it would be ready...while I am standing there...then he yells that he hasn't gotten around to making it yet. As long as the owner allows this behavior (maybe family member he is allowing to abuse coworkers and customers???!!). I strongly advise everyone to stay away from the establishment. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere .

Sunrise Inn does not use real veal for their veal parmigian it is PORK !
Their pizza is also the highest priced pizza in the area ............14" for $11.00 with one topping ?

I grew up on this pizza and love it. I now live about 20 miles from Sunrise but still drive to get it at least once a month. I am disappointed with the consistency of the pizza these days. It could be great or it seems more often than not there is not enough cheese or too much sauce or it is overcooked. We now open the box to check it before we leave the restaurant. It was never like this. I am not comfortable bringing friends all the way to Warren to eat because of this. Please correct this because I believe it is the best pizza around and would love to recommend this to others.

Sunrise has been notorious in the past for the waitresses and how bad they really are. It's hit or miss in this establishment and 7 out of the last 10 times I've been there it's been a miss! But I keep going back simply for the food. The veal cutlet is fresh and so big it literally hangs off of the plate. It's pricey, but the food is really good! The chicken will cost you around 20-25 minutes of wait time, as will the pizza, which are both TO DIE FOR!! But honestly, you have to know going into it that their traditional pizza is made with green peppers, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese (NO Mozzarella). The service is pretty unprofessional to say the least, although I've often wondered how they keep track of who just came in and who's been waited on with 3 different entrances and a seat yourself motto, but if you can tolerate that the food usually makes up for it!

PROS: Good Food...
CONS: Hit or Miss on the Service...A little pricey

We have been going to Sunrise for pizza forever. Their pizza is AWESOME!! We went to sunrise for my birthday and actualy ordered regular food. To start, the people in the booth next to us came in about 10 minutes after us and got waited on before us. Our waitress finally came and took our order. Our food finally came, and my husband's food was horrible. He would have sent it back, but the waitress never came back until we were done eating. He ordered the fried ravioli and the cheese was solid inside, like rubbery, not melted. When the waitress finally came to bring the check, he told her about it, and she just said, oh, ok. !!!!!!! She didn't even care!!! needless to say, she got no tip.
