Scam Artists. I bought a used car for over $7,000, two weeks later I got stranded in Kentucky when the car broke down. I had to spend over $800 to get it fixed and they wouldn't help at all. Two months later, less than 3 months after the purchase, I started having problems again, I took the car to 3 places and got quotes for the work, replacing head gaskets, water pump and timing belt all around $2,000. When I took the car back to Byers they said that they would help me out and 'not turn their back on me' what that really meant is that they qouted the work at nearly $2,700, which did not include timing belt or water pump. and discounted it a couple hundred dollars. Never buy a car from these people they will turn their back on you. One of the worst experiences of my life.

I stopped in for a stuck power window, they charged me 80 dollars for the diagnostic, ok I guess since most places do, then I was informed the the passenger window switch was bad and the drivers side switch for the passenger window was also bad that only took them 2 hours to tell me. Well I asked how much for repairs and they said $385.00 !!!!! I asked what the breakdown was and they said the parts were $130.00 that means they are charging me $250.00 for labor, a bit excessive in my opinion, so I bought the $20.00 passenger switch from their parts dept., popped the bad one out of the door without even removing the door panel, replaced it and it was good, only took me 6 seconds if that. Then I noticed the driver side switch for the passenger window would once again work now that the circuit on the passenger door was good. So that was a $110.00 part I didn't even need, let alone the $250.00 for labor to do something that even if both switches needed done would have taken no more than 2 minutes. I don't like it but I still had to pay the diagnostic even though they told me a part was bad that didn't even need replaced plus the twenty for my part and I spent a little over $100.00, when they were asking a total of $465.00+tax. I will NEVER return there again and will make sure none of my friends/family ever go there.

I can say I was a tad disappointed. I went to Byer's Subaru in Dublin seeking a test drive on a WRX. They tell me it's a company wide policy that you have to have your credit checked, agree on a purchase price, and THEN they will let you take the car on a test drive, saying they want to have the least amount of miles as possible for the potential owner of the car. For the extra 45 minute hassle and potential bad mark on my credit for authorization, I said no. They then showed me a traded in used WRX STi. I said I'll try it out, same thing. This car already had 24,000 miles on it! I just don't understand. I can go to and Audi/Mercedes/BMW dealership and test drive any car on their lot and I can't take out a car that's MSRP is $25,000 new? Are you kidding me? How do they expect to sell cars?! After that time I started comparing the STi specs to that of the more expensive brands like Audi and BMW and decided that's what I wanted. Byers could have potentially had my business if they would have been more willing, but a month later I went out of state and purchased my STi!

Pros: None

Cons: Didn't even make it to the test drive

I am so sorry I left Jack Maxton, only for a shorter trip to a dealership location. Sadly I chose Byers Dublin Chevrolet. What a mistake. the final straw , I made a reservation for warranty repairs, received a call to set up rental car, only to find out Byers wanted me to pay for it while my $40,000.00 vehicle I purchased from them was being serviced. I was used to Maxton's incredible service AND a vehicle to use WITHOUT question if your vehicle was going to be kept for any period of time. Byers gave my information to Hertz to call me, only they expected me to pay for it. I will NEVER buy another vehicle from a Byers dealership again EVER in my life. If you are smart you will avoid them to. Maxton gets my business back WITHOUT A DOUBT!

Bet service around. I did give them 4 stars only because I had to wait about 5 min. before anyone came to see what I needed when i first walked in. but their team is wonderful! I have never had a problem with their service team doing something beforethey explained it and told me the price!

Buyers auto was great when it came to dealing, and financing. However, their repair team in my opinion is awful! They did not have good customer service, and could not explain psrts and repairs in great detail!

Byers has a number of automobiles I would enjoy owning. Unfortunately, they have the same faults many auto dealerships do. They have the irritating habit of leaving the prices off of their cars, so you have to speak to a salesman, who will invariably try to...sell you something. Which is fine, I suppose, as that's what a salesman does. I've little use for salesmen though, and would simply like to investigate the cars on the lot and maybe drive a few. They make it a frustrating process here.
