This is a car we paid 8588 for purchased from Mccluskey Chevrolet/ Mission automotive. We had problems starting day 1 and i mean that literally!! transmission went out 3 months into owning it, had almost every thing replaced MOST of it against us them telling them NO the engine was the main complaint the whole time yet always overlooked. Took it to the Better Business Bureau and was told they would look into everything in a completely neutral setting and apparently i was idiotic enough to fall for that lie, they changed my words around even though they were recorded and i could prove i said otherwise and wouldn't accept my "mistake of fact" request which is their sorry excuse for an appeal needless to say we lost and are stuck with this and a 163 dollar a month car payment, unlike Mccluskey Chevrolet we are a working family with 3 children yet already struggling to survive they are a banging business who can get away with ignoring a serious engine issue this car blew not much more than a year after the purchase mind you they had it 90% of that time please share this so people can see how corrupt the world really is and maybe some day it will fall into the hands of someone who can help me. to top it all off i would like to point out how silly it was of me to accept the arbitration over a real court hearing because until we lost i didn't even think about this ..... BBB is a non profit organization who takes charitable donations from businesses and in return they get a rating system. WHY on earth would the BBB rule against one of its sources of income and rule in the general public who doesn't offer a pennies favor?
Let me tell you a story! My friend wanted a car, but had no time to 'car shop' & she had asked another 'dealership' in town to help her out; [they will remain nameless & without a sold unit] they told her it might be a month or so till they found what she needed. Well, I couldn't have that ;), I wanted her to KNOW & FEEL the McCluskey Touch of excellence :). She sent me car yr, price, color, mileage & what she wanted to spend, then I sent to Keith McCluskey, he gave the info to Dan Hoffman [I highly recommend him!] This whole search for the car & delivery of said car, took 3 days from thought to buy on Weds 5/25 to a 5/28 delivery of car.
Needless too say, she is extremely happy with the excellent customer service provided to her by McCluskey Chevrolet staff! Want the same experience, go see Dan Hoffman at McCluskey Chevrolet!!!
I will never even consider buying another car from McClusky. They sold us a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora that had cracked heads in the motor. We drove it a little more than a week when it had to be put in the shop. After they had it for six weeks they said it was fixed but we had to take it back about 2 months later. We left it with them on August 11, 2010 and never got the car back. Even though the car came with a warranty they would not put the new motor in that it needed. Sorry customer service and an even worse reputation.
My original complaint is the junk car that was bought from Mission Automotive. 30 days and the transmission was gone, when i had the garage check it the ball joints are shot and the right side frame and rocker box are so rusted you can put your hand through it. The reason McCluskey is getting my low review is that they own Mission Automotive. And after explaining everything to a top management person at McCluskey, with a promise of I'll look into it and call back, they never did, nothing for weeks after repeated calls to him again i was always transferred to his voice-mail.
I have NOTHING good to say about this place or the people who work in it. First of all, I made it very clear that I needed a car in a hurry. I understand that things take time when it comes to financing, however, it has taken 3 weeks for anything to be done at all to help me. They have all of my information, and all of my cosigners information. They refuse to return my phone calls and I've even spoken with their sales manager. They're voice message recording when you call braggs of having a sales team that will help you find the right car and leave you satisfied, but they have done neither for me. They refuse to return my calls, and even their GM does not have the common courtesy to return a call from a customer. These people have no ethics... Did I mention the first night I was there I had to wait for 4 hours in the lobby.. Oh, and they didnt even show me what I could get into?
I have nothing but horrible things to say about my experience with Mccluskey. The sales staff was rude and unhelpful and the service after the sale borderlined on horrific. Bought a 2007 Aura and, upon taking delivery, the radio did not work properly, the car had no heat when idling and the windshield washer nozzles were both broken. It took 12 emails and 10 voicemails and 3 trips to the service department to get the problems addressed. Will NEVER buy a car from them again.

I had a very good experience buying a car from McCluskey. I applied over the Internet and was contacted immediately. They did my taxes for free and I drove the car home the day I went to look at it. My excellent sales lady picked the perfect car for me. I did not even test drive it. My monthly payment is what I can afford. My down payment was what I wanted. This was my first financed car. I am totally happy.
When I went there looking at cars the salesmanI dealt with was really polite. He showed me a few cars and the one I wanted he negotiated with his boss and got me financed with a down payment I could afford and withmonthly payments that I could afford also. The only thing is they gave me the wrong info on a extended warranty. Which I did not need because the car I got was still under the manufactors warranty. Other than that is was decent dealing with the about buying the car. I feel like they still owe me money from theextended warranty They got me to buy and did not need.
