Home Depot

We have had good experiences here. We hired them to install 3 bedrooms of carpet and they did a great job! They sent enough people to do it right, they were in and out pretty quickly.

I have recently contracted Home Depot to install windows and Blinds, This has been nothing but a headache, I was told it will take approximately 2 weeks to get the windows measured, ordered and scheduled to install. It has now been 4 weeks and they still have not ordered my windows, they are supposedly coming out to measure again sometime this week, though I have no idea when, I've not been contacted with a date and/or time. As for the blinds, I got these and so far at least one of them is not the correct color, have not had time to measure them all and verify sizes.

I have tried to make sure that the windows were installed before the blinds so that the window installers do not accidentally damage the new blinds, but getting two departments to work together is apparantly impossible.

I have spoken to the management at the store many times now and appear to get nowhere as I have only paid out many thousands of dollars for the blinds and windows and have had nothing but trouble so far. I am really praying that the window installers are actually professional as I am now very frightened that I will not get a proper install of my windows and will only end up having trouble with them after the install is done.

I feel like I need to make sure I am home for the install of both the windows and the blinds to stand over the contractors and make sure they are actually doing their jobs correctly and not causing more damage or not insulating the windows jambs, etc..

Overall my experience has been completely horrible, I would strongly recommend against anyone ever using home depot, or at least this store for any of their contracting needs. The lack of ability for departments to work together leaves all this on the homeowner to try and coordinate even just two departments timing together has been a nightmare, I cannnot imagine what it would have been like if I had gone with the floors and kitchen remodel as my wife and I had originally planned.

Stear clear of the home depot for any contracting needs, their utter lack of professional services to the consumer has made me certain to never use them again in the future for any home improvement contracting.

We've been doing some home remodeling and have made many trips to this store. They have a huge selection of items, and we've always been able to find what we were looking for. It is a big store, and at first it seems like you won't be able to find things. There are always employees asking if we need help, and they have all been very knowledgeable in answering our questions. They've helped carry large items to the car also. I have attended a do-it-yourself workshop here, and while it was interesting, it was hard to hear in the area they had it in. I think they need to work a little on planning those.

We love this store. They have a huge selection of items. We our washer and dryer from them and the only draw back was the wait time for delivery...If you are looking for something specific you will find it here. They are a little high priced but the quality is good so it makes up for it..
