Gwen Mooney Funeral Home

The cheap casket was just horrible. The young african american funeral director wasn't at all caring or understanding to me. The place was beautiful but certainly not worth the price. I transferred my prearrangments to THOMPSON HALL & JORDAN. They are good and they are CHEAP compared to GWEN MOONEY. You really get what you pay for at GWEN MOONEY - thousands of dollars in advertising. The old saying that if you tell a lie long enough it becomes true - GWEN MOONEY is HIGH PRICED AND OFFER LITTLE SERVICE. Go to THOMPSON HALL & JORDAN for the REAL DEAL. Don't settle for the fakes at MOONEY. Do yourself and your family a favor and go anywhere but there. They have little to offer but talk. They talk a big game but that's all.

The Gwen Mooney Funeral Home is one of the best in the city. I am very satisfied with the service my family received and recommend anyone looking for great service and a caring staff to go there. Everyone was very compassionate and understanding. The funeral director made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond my expectations. It is nice to know my family now has a place to hold all of our funerals. The price was not unreasonable for the excellent services. With other cheaper funeral homes, the service is cheaper. My family is worth it. You pay for what you get, and with Gwen Mooney Funeral Home, you only get the best.

I priced lots of funeral homes in Cincinnati and I went with Hay Funeral Home. Gwenn Mooney "price matches" so they charge you a whole lot but if you are going to leave and go to a lower priced funeral home suddenly the price gets lower. It keeps going down, down, and down. That sounds kinda dishonest! They kinda get all they can but if all else fails they just do whats honest and lower the price. That is kinda like stealing from the people that don't check prices? The value isn't there. The high price is. The nice young man John took care of me and he is highly trained in getting all the money he can. But I understand because that big building has to be paid for by someone. The funeral homes with lower prices do it the same way everybody else does but less money. Call Hay Funeral Home and Jason will take better care of you and it will be honest from the get go. Thanks John you are a nice young, softspoken, petite man but you are a skilled salesman.

I would recommend Gwen Mooney Funeral Home over and over again. I was helped by a young man named John. He was very caring and professional. While he was very sensitive to my family's needs in our time of grief, he always remained professional. While competitors offer much lower prices, it's important to remember value comes at a higher cost and you always get what you pay for. I am very pleased with the service I was given.

This funeral home was much better when Mr. Deitloff ran it. I used the funeral home when he was there and they did a fine job. I used them with Gwenn Mooney and I was appalled at the lack of sensitivity shown by the staff. It is clear they are only about numbers. My father was much more than a number and I won't make that mistake again. The bottom line was high and I expected a lot more.

The Gwen Mooney Funeral Home is the most beautiful funeral home in Cincinnati. If you're looking to hold a stately funeral, this is the place to do it. It is positioned on the grounds of Spring Grove Cemetery, one of the largest, most beautiful cemeteries in the world.
