2 Stars: Bad Service (by amy s.)

We were out and about and walking around the streets of Cleveland on a Saturday evening trying to find a place to go hang out and have a few drinks. We got there and had to pay a cover charge of $15.00 per person which was expensive to just set at the bar and then once we were ready to leave, we had to set and wait to pay our check for 25 minutes! We had WARM draft beer and the service was terrible. I probably wouldn't go back there. Not sure how the food was. You be the judge.

3 Stars: Lousiana food, very slowly served (by Cheryl P.)

Like the other reviewer, we were put off by the BAD service. Since it is one of the few places to get gumbo and crawfish, you sort of have to put up with the service to get Cajun food. This has the potential to be a great restaurant. It's disappointing.

2 Stars: Don't like it (by Jehada F.)

I had my graduation dinner there and I've been there before, both experiences for me were bad. The food took forever to come out and the staff didn't seem to care that we were so inconvenienced. When the food finally did come out it was not very good. It seemed overcooked, and just plain not good. I would not go there again and I do not recommend that anyone else does unless they want to spend money on mediocre food.

5 Stars: Louisiana Cuisine and the Blues (by Margaret A. F.)

We had spent the day at the convention center and were looking for something out of the ordinary for dinner. One of us remembered a great place to eat and we were off to downtown Cleveland.

Fat Fish Blue, while being in the heart of downtown Cleveland, is easily accessible and there is ample parking just down the street in the garage.

The restaurant is very large, making it easy to get in without reservations during the week. We were there on a Wednesday night, so we found we were seated right away.

The food is Louisiana style, from ribs to crawfish, down home cooking. We mixed up the menu a bit between the three of us, and chose from a number of appetizers and main dishes. I like things spicy, and the "buffalo tails" - crawfish tails in buffalo wings sauce, were just the spice I was looking for. We also ordered the catfish, which were done just right.

The fried chicken was a favorite as well in the main courses, as well as the "bubba's backyard" burger. The drinks were well mixed, and we sampled around the table all the fine dishes that were brought out.

The band that night was Colin John band, an excellent choice for a mix of blues and modern jazz. They were entertaining and we found the entire evening to be quite enjoyable.

The meals were affordable for three friends doing something special. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating and the restrooms were clean and well stocked. The entire restaurant, not being considered intimate, provided a friendly club atmosphere and was pleasant in its dcor.

If you love jazz and the blues, if you like fine down home Louisiana cuisine and if you are looking for a place that will make your groups evening very special, try Fat Fish Blue.

PROS: Great food, great music
CONS: none!

5 Stars: Great Food, live music (by Michelle P.)

On every occasion visiting this location. I have been very happy. The food is always delicious. Customer service is superb and live music is a bonus. Pricing is worth the visit.
