This company is ridiculous. I'm not even a tenant and after how the people that answers the phone talk I wouldn't want to be one. They have the nerve to tell u all the stuff they CANt do after they take your application fee. I submitted

Check out my picture. Thats a bed bug. One of the THOUSANDS found in my home I rented from Beacon, less than 12 hours after i moved in. The bugs poured from the walls in droves, destroyed many of my belongings and forced me to vacate the home in only a few days the infestation is SO bad. Beacon was useless during this time. Unsympathetic, rude, and they lied, worst of all. The manager failed to even provide me witha copy of my own lease. I was told i couldnt move in during the decided date in April because of water issues, when in reality, after asking my neighbors I quickly learned it was because an exterminator had been in the home, which I was NOT made aware of. I now have to pay $900 to spray my new rental home because despite hours of re-packing, scrubbing and moving out furniture and boxes, I still brought some of the bugs to our new home. Beacon is a pathetic excuse for a business, they hadnt even seen this home until it was shown to me, what kind of business practice is this? They are scum, and renting from them made the last 2.5 weeks of my life an absolute hell, not to mention I am not broke and they refuse to pay me back for any damages. Do not rent from this "company" it is a HUGE mistake.

I would never rent from Beacon they took over a property I was renting and everything went down hill. They do not fix anything. They took over managing the property in Feb of 2011 I gave them a maintenance list of things wrong in the house

For lack of time to really sit down and write this review. Please understand and believe all of the reviews thus far. These people are inconsiderate of people's time and money, and do not do what they say they will do. They do not return phone calls and worst of all, they lie. They flat out lie. In addition, they keep your money They made me pay money to get into this place that they assured me was ready to move in immediately, then they told me i had to wait a month. Its been over two months now and the place is still not ready. What a waste of time. I'm surprised they are still in business. Just horrible. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered, and I have been renting apartments from people for over 15 years.

This company has recently taken over as Property Management for the house where I live and the first time I attempted to contact them I was told to call back in three days as there was nobody in the office who could help me. In my opinion this is not the best way to handle new properties or new tenants.

I wish I had checked the comments before sigining up with Beacon. I wasted 5 months with this company. They didn't return calls and provided no follow-through when we discussed actions they were to provide. The people where were working with me left the company and I was never notified - I only found out because I caIled to see if they had completed some work we agreed to. I had to call them constantly to get progress reports and they never rented my apartment (and there was never any progress). It was a disaster and my apartment was never rented..

They didn't return calls and provided no follow-through when we discussed actions they were to provide. The people where were working with me left the company and I was never notified - I only found out because I caIled to see if they had completed some work we agreed to. I had to call them constantly to get progress reports and they never rented my apartment (and there was never any progress). It was a disaster and my apartment was never rented..

Pros: The new staff seemed to be better

Cons: No follow through; not pro-active in getting renters; don't seem to have had experience in renting property, if so didn't use it aggressively.

I haven't checked in the repair bill that they sent yet. It sounds expensive to me. Property been vacants for >4months. Overall, I donot have good experience with them so far. If you are a property owner and are looking for a property management company stay away from Beacon!!!!! I have had several issues where the leasing consultant does not return voice mails or e-mails. I am not a "high-maintenance" owner that requires a lot of attention but they simply do not communicate. In addition, we recently had repair work done on the property and the material charges (which they could not provide receipts for) were inflated by 300% above what the retail rate is for the supplies. I have yet to resolve my dispute with Beacon but once my contract is up with them, I will surely go to a property management company that actually cares about the condition and the tenants that are in the rental properties.
