I grew up in Lancaster and Fat Cat was by far the best around. I moved away for a few years and to my surprise when I came back, Mrs. Casto had sold the business. I gave it a try anyways. It is still good, but not close to the way it was. The crust does not have the same taste and the cheese is different. What made this place the greatest was the mixture of the crust, cheese, and their sauce. The new owners have also cut back on the amount of toppings. It is a shame, because I wouldn't mind driving 30 mins to get. Maybe with enough complaints, the Blankenships would pay Mrs. Casto a consulting fee.

As a born and raised Lancaster resident, I've had the opportunity to eat at most local mom and pop pizza joints over the years.

Fat Cat pizza is good but not the best pizza in town. The toppings are rather skimpy compared to the national chains and not as fresh either. Most look as if they come from a can. For the occasional pizza eater, it tastes good but for someone who orders pizza on a regular basis, I would suggest buying elsewhere based on the amount of toppings on the pizza.

PROS: Fast and friendly service
CONS: Skimpy canned toppings
