I would like to breifly respond to Miss Farris's complaint. Her son had only been coming quite sporadically and with no advance notice. As I had explained to her, while I wanted to provide parents with more flexible pricing schedule, I cannot hold a spot for such erratic attendance. He would arrive shortly before lunch with no warning, and this was creating some difficulty in scheduling. I did not think that it would create such anger as we were not providing much care.\n\nHer fiance called me after I had spoken to her and let me know that he understood and that she was a little emotional because she was nearing her due date (a fact I had not known). I truly apologize for the angst she clearly feels.\n\nI appreciate her comment about my staff. All of my lead teachers have degrees in Education and take great pride in their work.\n\nI wish only the best to Miss Farris and her family.

I have never written a review for a business, but Rainbow Years had none, and I wish there would have been when I was researching places. \n\nOk, To be quite honest, I had my doubts about this place, I tossed the idea of sending my 4 year old here for several weeks. I only actually did because I fell in love with Belmont United Methodist Preschool next door, and they are only a preschool.\n\nI will say.. My son does not complain or cry when he gets dropped off at Rainbow years, and all of the actual daycare workers are super nice and great with the kids.\n\nMy issue is with the owner. She has the personality of a wet mop and is only, ONLY in it for the money.\nFirst the pricing changed from when I called the first time to price it, to when I actually enrolled him. I took the pay by the hour ($4/hr) option. This was a new thing they were starting, and there was no stipulations to it. (This was around sept 1st.)\n\nI recieved a phone call this morning (12/7) from the owner, that policy had changed and as of now, and I had to pay for a min of 8hrs or my son would not be allowed to come anymore. This would not normally be a problem, but I am 39 weeks pregnant and getting ready to be off work on mat leave. They have known this since sept. He will be going back to school soon after and It would have been full time hours, but now since I had no time to figure out what we were going to do, we are just flat out of luck.\n\nI am a previous business owner, and I do understand the need to change things. My problem here is the manner in which the situation was handled and the urgency in which it was taken. I would not have minded, to have received a phone call in Nov saying the policy was changing as of dec 1st, or if the phone call I received this morning was that it was changing as of Jan 1st. Not, you need to make up your mind now because I am trying to fill his spot. I feel like it was handled very unprofessionally.\n\n\n
