As a former student of TCS and now a college educator, I believe there is no better place to send your child. All of us can share experiences that would be detrimental to any organization, but actually having been a student of Temple Christian I can tell you that the school is second to none. The staff does it's job usually at a fraction of the salary paid to public school teachers, and it is done from a world view that does not compromise it's core beliefs for the sake of maintaining employment. In contrast to the people who expressed a negative perception of Temple, I would like to present a positive experience. When my parents divorced and my life as I knew it began to fall apart my coach, teacher, and youth pastor (yes all the same person) attempted my rescue. Jerry Siler, now the pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Temple was that person. Although his attempts did not save me from all of the negative choices that I made, it certainly was done on his own time from a heart filled with love. I can assure you that if this man was aware of the circumstances surrounding the previous writers comments, the outcome would have been much different. I have never known a man more caring or compassionate than Jerry. Therefore, I can only conclude that he was either not aware of the situation or the situation has not been accurately portrayed. All I will say about this school is that I have heard horrible stories about this school and if you want your child to have a real education do not send your child to this school!!!!! There is no future here.

Pros: No Pros

Growing up in a large christian family, I have learned all the great qualities of a church/school. For example, it needs to be a forgiving, compassionate place and a safe haven to anyone in need. Temple Christian School is exactly the opposite. After hearing of the situation of a friend who used to attend this school I was absolutely disgusted.

My friend, who will not be named attended Temple Christian School a couple of years ago. In the unfortunate event of her mother passing, being slammed with large funeral costs, Temple Christian told them to not worry about the costs, and to get back on their feet and worry about themselves. Now if this school had stuck to its compassionate remarks I would not be writing this letter. Now that my friend is in her senior year at another school, Temple Christian refuses to give her her transcript, keeping her from graduating. Her family has been forced to sell their cars, and now their home to pay for Temple Christian's high billing.

If YOU would like your child going to this school, please do not let my review stand in your way. BUT..ask yourself this question, Can you afford Christian Temple in a state of devastation? Will you be forced to sell your belongings to pay back this money hungry organization??

Thanks for reading. :)
