National Tire & Battery over sells
by Jerry O.
You do to me once - shame on you. You do to me twice - shame on me! Last Sunday I went in for a check on front brakes they sold and installed two years ago. Their inspection indicated a bad caliper and therefore bad rotor and pads. My hubs and bearings need replacing - Etc, etc.. Total = over $1100.00. They said all repairs were critical and needed to be done now. I went to a different well known tire store and was told one caliper and one pad with disc was bad and needed replacement. Hub and bearings could wait a few more months determined by my miles driven. I won't go back to NTB,.

Tire Warranty
by Rick R.
Last year I spent over $400 for tires that were supposed to have 70,000 mile tread warranty. My tires wore down at 30,000 and when I took it back to NTB on Scarborough Blvd that tried to tell me that it was my fault and they were not going to honor the warranty. They told me I overinflated my tires, but they were the one who inflated them, even during tire rotation. When that didn't work they then asked if I had an alignment done when I bought the tires because all 4 tires showed wear from alignment problems. I had just bought my truck brand new and at the time of the purchase they didn't need it. The sales rep. said there was nothing they could do but sell me a new set of tires. I went the next day to SEARS and bought 4 new tires and I asked them about the alignment problem that NTB mentioned. I was informed that it wasn't too bad only one tire show a little wear not 4 that NTB had explained. I tried to resolve my problem with the better business bureau and NTB, but that got me no where other than lies I read from the report saying the manager remembered me and tried to resolve the problem. I never dealt with the manager only a sales rep. and no one offered me a discount for 4 new tires of any kind. My suggestion to anyone dealing with NTB is don't. The prices may look good on the outside, but don't expect them to honor the warranty. They will probably try to sell you something you don't need.
