Pohlmann Pamela Dvm - Bay Village Animal Clinic

A few years ago I would have recommended this place to everyone, but lately it has become pricey, the hours are limited and I usually end up waiting in the exam room with my pet for over half an hour to an hour after my appointed appointment time to see the vet even if the office is not busy. My last few exams have been rushed and very impersonal. One pet was misdiagnosed and another was over vaccinated which led to a near death and 3 weeks in another animal hospital. I no longer feel comfortable taking my pets there. However their cat boarding facility is very convenient and good, but also very pricey.

Dr. Pholmann has taken great care of Tucker since he was a puppy. He is my first dog since childhood and she has given me great advice to help me along the way. I moved from Bay Village but continue to take him to her. You can tell that she takes great pride in her work, and she has earned a lifelong customer. I recently recommended her to some friends of mine and will continue to do so in the future.

Dr.Pohlman is a gifted and compassionate veterinarian, and a delightful person. We've taken our animals to her for years and are devoted to her! We recommend her very enthusiastically!

I have known Dr. Pholmann for 20 years. She is truly gifted at her craft. One of her most admirable qualities is her honesty. She is very genuine and expresses her professional opinion in a very respectable way, and considering these qualities are becoming more and more rare, it is no wonder she has so many loyal and committed clients. Dr. P respects not only her clients, but her patients as well (and that's the most important part!) So if you're looking for a warm and welcoming group of people to give the most compassionate care for your little fur-ball, Bay Village Animal Clinic is exactly that! WE LOVE YOU DR. P!!!!

We have been taking our animals to Dr Pohlmann for years. With her care, our Tony and Scout lived to be 17 years old. We now have AJ, Ozzie and Bella and they receive nothing but the best care. Dr Pohlmann knows just how to handle each of them with their personalities. I have recommended her to many of my neighbors. Thanks Dr Pholmann.

Dr. Pohlmann is an excellent vet and has done a fantastic job with the various foster dogs I've brought to her. I foster for Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network (www.CairnRescue.com) and she's seen quite a varied bunch of ailments in assorted foster dogs. I like to take my fosters to her even if they've already been vetted elsewhere as she often spots things other vets have missed.

I've been going to the clinic for 18 years. Dr. Stanberry was WONDERFUL. I've had my issues with Dr. P. She mis-diagnosed our lab/shep. It turned out she was diabetic & only tested after many office calls & I made the comment she acted like my mom when her sugar was up. Dr. P tried for months to get the insulin dosage right but could not and her blood sugar remained very high. We finally put her to sleep as I didn't feel it was a quality of life she deserved and not fair to her or our other dog to have to put up the limitations. 2 years later, I brought our lab in a lump & was told it was nothing to worry about, well, it was....cancerous tumor. Last month, I brought in my 2 latest dogs for check-up, shots. I felt talked down to. She was not patient, hurried..and this was in the early am with no one waiting. The prices have gone up ALLOT! She did nothing but take the blood for the heartworm on the one dog as her shots were up to date yet I was charged for TWO office calls. The office hours are very limited. I will not be going back

I have been going to the Bay Village Animal Clinic for 32 years. Dr. Pohlmann is very caring & gives quality care for my dog. The clinic could use a little updating since not much has changed in the past 25 years. But with the previous owner and now Dr. P. we have been very happy with the service. the prices are very reasonable compared to other places and she has provided top notch care for our pets. The staff there is great.

I have paid so much more for so much less. Dr. Pam is the best and shows genuine care for our two dogs. We have gone in both emergency and preventative contexts and she has gne the extra mile in every respect.

The very best vet my darlings have ever encountered. Dr. Pam is wonderful. She provided excellent care, advise and treatment. She shows genuine concern answers all your questions and I never feel rushed. Dr. Pam is conservative her testing and medications. She will even give you recipes for cooked rice for your pet. I consider her prices very reasonable and have paid much more for less care at other clinics. Nan and Charlie

This is a good vet that I have taken my cats to. They are are tad pricey I feel but my pets and I were treated properly and I would go back if I had to. My regular vet was on vacation so I was referred here.

The vet is a very caring woman, who will treat your pet with honesty and respect. Your pet is her number one priority and it shows. I am very please with the care my animals have received at this Clinic and my pets also feel confortable with her.

PROS: Caring vet.
CONS: Above average prices.
